      Had my surgery whent well, the surgery went a lot longer than it was meant to. I am back at home now and have been able to walk around the house a bit. Haven't had a bowl movement as of yet , going to the toilet to urinate does take a bit of time. Today is day 2. I woke up in a far bit of pain, the left side of the body is saw and the right hand from the needles and drip is broosed. Am still bleeding quite a lot. Besides all this feel perfectly normal except for being tired, with sleep the first night I was awake most of the night got few hours sleep last night except for when I woke up and was a bit sick but so far it's going good.

      @FrankIley-hh8yi just keep drinking lots of water, try to eat fibre stuff for the first week or so, lots of soups and get ready for the first few bowel movements, there's no sugarcoating, it's gonna hurt As I said in the video, if you feel you have to go, just go... It's scary but you gotta do it Take some painkillers 5-10 minutes before the BM and go straight to a shower to throw some hot water there (not super hot cause that will hurt, but warm/hot ish and do this hot water showers there as much as you want and can Good luck mate, it's a weird painful trip but I still think it's the best thing I did to myself, I don't even remember much the life before the surgery

    Post OP day 4 for me, The most painful part of post surgery was the *removal of the gause*.. Felt like someone is lighting me up from down there, luckily my doctor had given me Painkiller injection so the effect of the injection helped me to get relaxed. My 1st BM was the next day after the surgery the pain was off the chart I had to request doctor to give me painkiller injection. I got discharged the same day, and had 2nd BM in the evening and the pain was bearable with the help of painkiller tablets and warm sitz bath. Since then the pain is decreasing gradually.

  • @ernestsantiago6700
    @ernestsantiago6700 Місяць тому

    Post OP day 10 for me. My advise if your going to do surgery. Start taking a stool softener 2 day prior to surgery and drinking a lot lot of water. The day of surgery you will not need to take it. The reason is the stool softener will be in your system. After the surgery when you have your first BM. It will be softer. Not less painful but your BM will be easier. I been taking stool softer / drinking at least 5-8 glasses of water / soups / crackers / lucky for me my wife prepares a meal and then blends it in a blender / pain management is key. Try to be on the pain meds already before BM. You don’t want to have BM and then take pain meds. You will have to wait to take effect. Sleep rest and find something to take your mind off. Reading / gaming /bing watch a show. As for me everything is going well EXCEPT for the BM. Exacerbating pain still. They say it will be better in time. I pray so.After BM a sitz bath. My wife got me a portable one. So after the BM I place in on top of toilet with warm water. It bubbles the warm water gently on you bottom and the a hot bath. Until pain subsides enough and then I got lye in bed with ice on my backside. Usually fall sleep but when I wake up. I am good. Little sore but really good.

It has made me so scared 😩 I really needed your video and cannot thank you enough for posting it! I’ve dealt with several grade 3 internal hemorrhoids as well as an anal fissure for about 10-12 years now. They have completely ruined my quality of life and I can’t go on like this anymore. Every day is a lot of blood loss and a huge struggle to get through. I’m praying my recovery is more like yours and less like the many other videos I’ve seen. You have given me some hope. Yes, but the prize is worth. If you can get 2-3 weeks off or can work from home, that would be perfect. I got luck to have my surgery on first week of lockdowns in Melbourne, got a fresh PS5 and cyberpunk to keep me occupied 😂 Hopefully everything goes well, it's literally a pain in the ass this condition 😂 Have the house prepared few days before and lots of hot water there, I was jumping in the shower 3-4 times a day just for that hot water and lots of painkiller

    Hi all. I just wanted to pop on here and tell you about my experience as it seems like many people have drastically different experiences. Im a 23 year old woman and I have had an external haemorrhoid since i was 13. it was never very severe but definitely impeded lots of my life and would get inflamed quite often. I had it removed 6 days ago by a general surgeon in my town and its been a roller coaster. the first two days were actually ok in terms of pain and quite manageable. on day 2 or 3 I had my first bowel movement and that is when the pain got worse. I would highly recommend getting in a warm shower right after every bowel movement. it has saved me. the burning pain lingered for me around day 4-5 after I would use the washroom and I actually ended up going to emergency because the pain seemed to be getting worse. when I had my consultation they said I had a cut, maybe a stitch had ripped and that it was not infected but that they said the cut was probably causing me all that pain. they proscribed me nitroglycerine to help it heal faster ands also a lidocaine cream to apply. today is day 6 and I think I can finally say I'm on the up. bowel movement still hurt a lot but it doesn't linger for as long as before. hang in there everyone! you got this! if you feel like something is impacting your life I'd say this is worth it! reach out with any questions! its a very awkward spot and a very awkward surgery and I had so many fears and embarrassments around it but I've come to realize nobody cares and the health care system is there to help you. Ill try to update this comment whenI 'm fully healed.

The sun shines brighter, the sky is bluer, I've never cried because I was happy before. I tried 3 skeleretherapy sessions and a banding. Cost me 6000$ out of pocket because insurance didn't cover. That gave me a little relief but than I Paid 400$ for the surgery and was in the hospital for a week and feel 100% How does that make sense

    Hello! I am having my hemorrhoidectomy this coming wednesday at the surgery center by my house. My dr is giving me local anesthesia. I am supposed to do an enema the morning of the procedure. My dr is prescribing me a narcotic and not sure if anything else. he mentioned about the sitz baths. I need to take 3 or more warm baths a day. I got some baby wipes and diaper cream for after i use the bathroom and when I change the gauze that will be in butt crack. I only have one hemorrhoid thats getting removed and my dr said I should be able to go back to work in a week. the paper does mention getting a fever and chills that night of the surgery. It says its common with rectal surgery. but if it continues into the next day I need to call my dr. he did mention that there will be blood.

    I got this surgery 6 days ago 3 internal and one external and the more of these I see my heart breaks for everyone in the comments. All I can say is do your research well for good surgeon I put it off after the first two, just extremely painful exam was all I needed to not use then. Make sure they are giving you an injection called exparel if not find another. Is a pain killer that lasts from 3- 5 days and is non opioid. I’ve literally taken nothing but advil and have been managing the pain. First three days were rough I can’t lie 2nd day first movement was like shitting glass. I’m not saying there is no pain but people saying they are crying everyday is crazy. If you smoke quit before surgery and during recovery, take stool softeners days before and throughout the whole process drink water to the point you pee every half hour. Eat fiber like it is your job fruits, green vegetable stay away from red meat. I’ve been eating solid foods for 3 days already started with healthy soups I made at home. Sitting around makes it worse at least for me. Impedes your digestion. Soak in the tub with Epsom salt few times a day, ice packs multiple times a day. Idk maybe I have a high pain tolerance or something but these comments and stories sound crazy to me. Also seeing women say it’s more painful than giving birth I can’t believe that is true ain’t no way. I feel in about 2 weeks I will be back to living a normal life. I already had one set of stiches come out today as well. They gave me good printed out instructions for prep the food part and a lot of other aspects I just asked google. Like never use witch hazel to clean yourself as it is alcohol based will have your ass screaming. Stay away from a lot of dairy except yogurt those probiotics are good for your guts. The lidocaine I haven’t used yet would probably make it even better. Heavy pain killers constipate you so if you can avoid them do it. Can research doctors close by you people leave reviews they will pop up fast if they have alot of reviews take your time to prep research the surgeon as the recovery obviously is not easy for most. You can try banding but is a long drawn out process one at a time I didn’t want to deal with that. Been dealing with this for years was no way I was going to just keep it up makes your whole life miserable. Don’t put off getting your life back. May sound stupid to some but ask god for some strength to get through it be thankful everyday you feel better and keep a positive mindset brain is very powerful can keep you in a mad place. Good luck to everyone going through this you can do it just have to dig deep good things never come easy in life. And don’t read and watch a million videos telling you horror stories. Was my biggest regret of it all. The night before I slept an hour because I was so in my head and was so weak from not eating and drinking water for so long. I hope this comment can help some people get the courage to go through with it not everyone should have these nightmare stories and do your part to make it easier on yourself.

    Thanks for your video. Had surgery today and I’m ok right now because of the numbing injection but the farts are trapped and that is a bit painful.

    Will have the classical surgical one tomorrow as well. Been watching lots of videos about it and I think I can expect some intense pain, but I have to do it. Pain is just temprary and the quality of life should be way better in long term. 36 years old as well.. probably having the same issue since I was 18-20. @thiagosilva_1984 How have you been after 3 months? How are u know? Any other or complications/interventions meanwhile after 3 years?

      Easily the best thing I did, if I knew how my life would be better I would've done it years ago. It will be painful my friend, it it is what it is... If you can, stay at home doing nothing (if you work from home cool) as much as you can.

      @@thiagosilva_1984 appreciate your answer, thank you! Will have some time off from work. My other problem is that in 3 weeks I got my holidays booked since April and will have a long flight. Will take my pain killers with me, but hopefully after 3 weeks of staying home will not have any complications and be able to fly. Will probably need some pads as well during the flight, but as u probably remember from your experience.. I wearing pads since 2 months ago. Every single bleedin' poopo was awful during the last 2 months so I decided I have to do it.

      how was your surgery? @@blueperspective

    • @blueperspective
      @blueperspective 11 місяців тому

      @@monserratmartinezchavez5842 surgery was under General anaesthesia and I recommend it as the only anaesthetic option. Spinal is not enough, won’t cut the sensitivity. Surgical procedure was Ferguson type. PostOP recovery was quite horror.. first 2 weeks of pooping were unreal. Cried on the toilet to be honest. Then it gradually been better. I would say that 1 month you’ll feel the discomfort every time when you poop. Never used toilet paper since then.. I’m washing every time after. Only time I use wet wipes are outside of my home if needed. But I have my routine and most of the time "I go out" in the morning after coffee, that's before leaving home. Eating veggies and fruits every day and also milk with cereals with high percentage of fibres + lots of water daily. 2liters+. Quality of life at 3 months after op is awesome. Never had blood in the stool anymore, I’m not afraid to go outside without checking my ass every 15mins and so on. Definitely worths taking the decision, even if the first 1-2 weeks postop are a nightmare. Good luck!

    Congratulations, you got past it relatively easily. I just had surgery exactly 11 days ago. Indeed, passing bowels is really really painful. Added to the torment, I got constipated. So it is really a challenge right now. I'm taking psyllium fiber supplements and lots of liquids. Hopefully, I will get this over soon.

      Fiber makes stool bulky. Why would you do that? Swap it out for a stool softener.

    I had 1 or 2 three weeks ago and still very painful going to toilet. I'm frustrated 😠. I've been in excruciating pain for 2 weeks before surgery. I'm yet to experience if it was worth it. I hope so. The experience was super painful for me because I got an infection of stomach and I have some ulcerative colitis and it gave me diarrhea excessive. I stayed in hospital for 2 weeks. I have urgency for bathroom. I can't hold poop. I'm hoping to heal soon. Lord have mercy on me.
