Fantastic way to compare the mechanics of an arcade classic to a more recent game. Ape Out and Hotline Miami are designed to encourage the player to exploit enemy AI, often in ways not entirely intended. Berzerk was very similar, you could trick robots into bumping into each other, or kill unreachable robots with Otto. Of course, there is a more obvious comparison in terms of being top-down shooters, the biggest difference is the complexity of mechanics, and that Hotline Miamis levels are pre-designed (though Ape Outs have some level of randomisation, very similar to Berzerk!).

This game literally released 2 days ago on Steam, but this video was posted 4 years ago. Soooo, different version. Big difference in the pixel art, and there's no voice acting in this one. BUT I think it looks pretty cool, much more like an old Lucasarts game. Is it possible to get this version anywhere?? Or was it only a work in progress?

Sadly for Carvallo he never fulfilled his potential though he does, in part, have himself to blame. Carrying only a 3 wood and a putter combined with swing strengths of either power drive or feather-touch placed severe limitations when a shot was needed that deviated from the abovementioned parameters.
