The GM 3800 V6 was a great Engine. Had 4 of them for my wife's cars and they were great, 88 old, 93 olds, 96 Buick, and 2003 Buick with a super charger. Loved every one of them. my wife thought you got rid of a car when it got 50k miles on it but she kept the 2003 Buick for 12 yrs and 115k miles only changed oil and brakes no problems but used premium gas.

I have a 1972 F100 with a basic 300 cubic inch (4.9 litre} 6 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, No a/c, No "info-tainment" system. No computor , or "O.B.D." stuff. Just good basic old truck. And I get people giving me offers on it all the time! I can haul full sized 4x8 sheets of plywood, 8 foot 2x4's by the dozens, or a full cord of firewood. Then hose out the bed, load up the camping gear, and disappear for the weekend.

Panic when the check engine light comes on, you must be joking, most people keep on diving until the car quits.

Let's be real. The 90's Lincoln Town Car wasn't exactly churning out suck-you-in-your-seat power. At least not from the factory.

The Boomer Battleships that existed in Gramps's prime are now driven by X'ers or Y'ers. Yes, a few Boomers still hold onto cars from their prime days, but as a rule the age of the car is inversely proportional to the age of the owner.

"The North Star V8 is Bursting with Power"...until the head gasket "Bursts"... But I did have a 1998 Park Ave Ultra, bought it to flip and instantly fell in love with it. Easily the best car I ever owned.

A million miles is like driving from New York to los angeles 60 times?? New York to Los Angeles is around 2800 miles. 2800x60= 168 000 miles.

I daily a 68 Imperial. Its the same as the last car my grandfather had. He died in 86, but wasnt able to drive the last 15 yesrs or so of his life, but I always liked that car. So i got a 68 sedan hardtop just like he had, added some modern things under the hood so its reliable, and its my daily.

Small, Medium, Large trucks of today are not worth what you pay for them; None are reliable as the trucks of the 70's 80's 90's , & yes even the early 2000's I had a couple of small trucks in the late 70's, & 80's both were reliable but your towing most of the time was limited to under 2,000 lbs. Small trucks had there place then, & there might be a market for them in the future, They'll all face the same problems of today's trucks; Price, & reliability, & cheap is still over priced compared too yesterday's standards.I have 2 full size trucks a 99 1 ton dump truck, & a 2003 1/2 ton extra cab 4x4 both are very reliable, & meet my needs, & are used for what I bought them for. I'll probably never go back to smaller trucks; That's why I have a small car.

People would love to have the economy trucks the small trucks is what we would like to come back dependable cheap to repair plus longevity you can not get that in todays trucks trucks of today are high priced not dependable junk

You can do this thing called buying a used vehicle with low miles for a lot less than 29K. They're still affordable. The newer trucks are a lot nicer than an S10 from the 90s. Have you ever looked at the interior and how cheap those budget cars were back then?

It was getting hard to find a F150 2dr 8' bed. A Truck doesn't have 4 doors, but sure, why not. For people, a car, or in my case a Mini-van is so much more useful. Need two vehicles if your toys won't fit in a trunk. I have Big Toys.

Toyota Tundra, Land Cruiser and Sequoia are 3 of 5 the 5 longest lasting vehicles ever built. They all have the Toyota 4.7 liter V8. I believe those built in Texas are the most superior. There are multiple known million mile vehicles with this engine. It is probably the best mass production ICE engine ever built. It is not on this list. Fail.

BMW M52B25 Six cylinder 2•5 litres Single VANOS 520,000 KM i have owned it since new.... 27 years in May 25 I will say that it is showing signs of aging valve stem seals.... which will be replaced sometime this year and it will be a head off job.... to service the head comprehensively.... its earned it....

Renault K4M Volkswagen BSE Volkswagen CWVA Peugeot/Citroen NFU (EC5) Each one of these could easily last over 500000 kilometers before repairs.

My 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G has 207,xxx miles on it. Never a problem with the engine; although I had my intake manifold gasket replaced quite a while ago because of a TSB relating to the problem. 1 water pump, still the original alternator. Had the weak ass 4T65 transmission rebuilt 3 years ago, with upgraded pump, and a trans cooler.

Nothing last forever however my 3800 v6 series 2 is purring
