IMO asylum is the best Arkham game, it’s just such a classic, so nostalgic, dark and atmospheric, such an awesome map design, and so much to explore.
Is there a way that this mod can be worked on so that perhaps one a can do a full play through without the crashes. I’m sure with enough dedicated work it can be achieved.

I’m having a bit of trouble I got everything installed and I see joker as a playable character when I go to challenge however I get stuck on a loading screen infinitely when I try and play as Joker. I tried with Batman and Batman worked just fine. With joker I get stuck on the loading screen I’ve restarted my and down my graphical settings all the way. I have no idea what to do any help would be nice thanks.

I'm still trying to find any new mesh codes to play as harley quinn, killer croc, scarecrow, poison Ivy, gordon, but it's not easy because you need to first find the code and then activate it at a very specific moment in the game so it takes a lot of time to find the right way, I'll make a video everytime that i find something

Well, it's all cool and all but there is other problems to be solved. Like, you don't have many abilities as the joker in order to progress through the story. For example, you don't have proper detective vision to solve puzzles and or story's evidence cases. You don't have explosive gel to progress through some of the missions. Don't have grappling gun for the same reason as for the gel. The same with other gadgets like zipline and stuff like that. Your gadgets are limited and you don't have batarangs for the same, story progression, objective. So yeah, to play as the Joker, you need to have most of Batman's abilities and gadgets. Otherwise, this is not gonna work.
actualy if you install the debug menu you could play a lot as joker (have infinite amo, you can fly) , there's only scarecrow moments that you can't
Thank you so much for the tutorial! So this is straight up a character swap rather than animation swap which makes more sense. I'm still trying to find a way to swap out Batman's animations for an NPC's animations. hopefully I'll make some more progress soon. Asylum is the one game you rarely see mods for.

Amazing! How did you end up getting Joker's animations to replace Batman's? I'm trying to do a swap for Harley, I managed to get the mesh in but I'm currently stuck trying to get her idle animation instead of Batman's. I found all of the names of the animations through blender and umodel but stuck trying to actually implement them to replace Batman's idle and walk.
Well I have the command console (the green bar hacker thing) and then I enter this code : Set RGamelnfo Default awnClass Class'BmScript.RPawnPlayerChallengeJoker' (i do it when I’m playing Joker in the challenge mode then I exit the challenge mode and I go to continue story and that’s it I’m joker. now the fact that we can’t play harley quinn, you maybe have to enter the code when you are in front of her in game. I personaly never found the model names or animation names for harley so I never really tried to play her. I’l’ make a tutorial maybe tomorrow on the many different methodes on how to play joker in arkham asylum, maybe you have to do the same process
