That was pretty dang explanation
Why do you only have 1.5k subs? This was so interesting. Thank you.
I am late on this but it's really helpful for me to understand Recoil. thanks a lot to you
One of the most interesting videos that I have ever seen.
Not working
AWESOME EXPLAINATION
🎉
Doesn’t usestate use closures
thanks
Great video we have just seen Great content creator
Hey @JacquesBlom! The course is not loading at all. Can you please look into it? I'm almost done, and it's the best course I've seen on recoil yet!
i can't understand. so fast for me
is the site ok? today I saw instead of video some weird links to learn english/german
Great video, helps understand certain things many devs might take "as given".
I'd like to see a full-blown in-depth course on Blitz where you build an app like Twitter or Reddit with db, auth, img optimization, perf optimization.. I wouldn't mind paying a premium for such a course (as long as the extra mile of optimizing for production is included!) Thank you for this video. It's the first video to quickly and concisely spell out why we should use Bltiz without any fancy web dev jargon..
This is not what I was looking for, but i am very thankful this much clearity of explanation. Really appreciate.
thanks so much. very useful information
This is a great video, very well presented, thank you so much!
Thank you! This was so helpful!
Hello????? I'm the only one thinking... I mean... thats a lot of friking code and millions of files to make a real time "to-do task"!! you just skip the process of making the api query, but on the other hand theres a lot to do!
does ur useState accept prev=>prev+1 ??
Awesome...
Super!! Very useful
Why does calling "renderApp" work inside setState? Aren't function expressions not hoisted? Or does it reside in memory after the first "render" ?
More Blitz videos please!
pretty annoying not lot of stuff available on the net
This says noting about how it works only about how to use it.
Your sound volume is very low
I am getting `a valid query is required` in this line ` useQuery(getTasks, undefined)`
Indeed awesome. I was initially a Python/Django guy, and developed numbers of webapps with Django. Used to use jQuery for that. Later Hated Jquery, and started learning NextJs. Used Django API with NextJS, did a pretty good job, published it, and working nicely on production till now. But when I tried to develop webapp with Authentication, it was a pain in my a*s. So, I paused NextJs and started learning Rails, developed some webapp with Rails, and published to production, did a good job, but when it came to frontend JS stuff, I was limited as it used Stimulus. Then started seeking rails alternative to NextJS, and got to know about Sails.Js and Blitz, and I guess Blitz is going to be my new companion.
you need to increase the volume
1:15 if we wrap the element component by memo() wouldn't this problem be fixed?
Wish I had more than one like.
Amaziiiiiingggg!!!! Thanks Jacques..so insightful!
Amazing fam, straight to the point.
WHAT IS THIS MAGIC????
Dude u got very good presentational skills. U will rock. keep posting videos.
hey what vscode theme is this?
Hello, first time playing with Recoil and I'm wondering how do you receive all elements from an atomFamily? For example, the atomFamilty example you have shown on 0:44, how is the Square component receive the id props from the elements that inside the atomFamilty? I'm assuming the Square components would be looped out by map or something similar. I can think of one way is to have an atom store all of the squares, so that we can loop all the Square by the map and pass in the id as props into the Square component.
I am sold
Really wonderful!! Helped me in a state of confusion
Lots of good things to learn from your video. Thanks.
Thanks for this useful video :). I am starting with Blitz and would really love a tutorial on how you could build for example this to do app but let different users sign in and show them their own todo's. Cant find how to set that up anywhere.
Hlo Sir, How do we get Value of an Atom/Selector as we get in Redux using Store.getState()
you have to pass the particular atom state to useRecoilValue which acts like setstate hook
Thx this is the coolest framework I've ever seen
By the way, great content but the site no longer works, has it moved to another URL?
Awesome video! So many people are just writing the code without explaining the last little bit of why you have to call the render method in the end. Now I understood how it works! :D
Finally someone was able to explain this well!
Great! I'll give Recoil a try! Just a suggestion at 7:14, when logging something if you wrap it in curly braces, it'll log it with a label coz u log an object console.log({ something })
