W swych Utworach D Szostakowicz przejawiał jednocześnie pokazał okres swojego zycia w tamtych trudnych czasach. Jestesmy dumni że do dziś zachowały się te Skarby Muzyki Klasycznej.

Why I like this song is simple. There is a seething sense of anger behind it, disguised by politesse. You can't beat the shit out of the people who pissed you off, but you sure can make their life hell. That's what this music represents. Anger tempered with malice and sprinkled with a joy in undertaking a terrible scheme.
