I loved this story, but it ended a bit silly. Suddenly a 17 yr old girl, with zero life experience, is the wise guru to her whole family, all much older than her. The muuuch older man, John, obeys her "wisdoms" meekly and does as he's told. Nel to the rescue! The 17 yr old child fixed everyone's balls-ups like a seasoned pro. Was a bit unrealistic and silly, Agatha

Old John, a paedo masquerading as a fine upstanding husband and gentleman. He tells the young man who wants to marry 17 yr old Nell, that she's too young, a mere child, yet he married her sister when she was 17........ Then he quickly loses interest in his wife when she grows out of her teens and starts spending all his time and energy on her teenaged sister. Nowadays we call it grooming. It worked. At 17 she then fell into his arms. Go figure

Being the partner of a detective is a thankless task requiring limitless forbearance.

These are good. I always think the guy in the introduction sounds like Ventress from Heartbeat.

The lead character sounds as if he's struggling through an elocution lesson. Spoils a decent story.

A short play once again oadded out by nonsense musical breaks. Seems to be a fill in for the unimaginative
