Kayaking: Pressure test after technical adjustments
In this video, I perform a white water pressure test after adjusting my techniques to be more compact and effortless. This test is purely for getting feedback in safe conditions.
Pressure testing is vital for safe and fun surf and whiter water sessions later.
Pressure testing is technically not a training session but an exam for awareness combined with trained reflexes.
It's like heavy sparring in boxing, which you may like or dislike or value as important preparation for a real fight. Some do not pressure test their skills, but as I have experienced in doing extreme sports, such as solo seakayaking, knowing your limits and weaknesses might be even more important than relying only on strengths in action. The sea is an unforgiving forceful environment and it doesn't give special treatment to those who have left their vulnerabilities unnoticed.
At least this is my philosophy

Hi Alain, today I got my Air Dry Suit in size L and you was right, it fits quite well. And the first impression is better then expacted. The only point is the latex coller which ist very tight. My neck circumference is 39 cm and I do not get any blood in my head.😂 Did you cut it off a little bit? BR Peter
@@soloseakayaker Hi, well I found a lot of instructions videos how to cut it, but I am really afraid to disturb it. 😅 So I decided to try it at first in water. But not yet when the temperatures are below zero. 🥶😄
@@soloseakayaker Hi Alain, the season ist going quite well. Unfortunately I do not stay dry in the drysuit in white water. Do you? I asked a lot of kayakers about their experience with different drysuits and 90% of them do not stay dry also. So I thing it is normal. What is your experience? Regards Petr
Hi Alain, can you give me please a recomendation for the right size? I am a little bit confused regarding the size table. I am 174 cm tall and so I should choose "L". But then all other sizes are much too big. My weight is 74 kg. How big are you and which size did you orderd? Thanks in advance.

Yes I use it almost daily. 2 years and still working perfectly.
