WHO WE ARE
We are an amazing dance community that offers a safe and affordable place for emerging artists, amateurs and experienced dancers.
Our mission is to share our dances, inspire and enrich the community through passion, creativity and tradition.
HISTORY
Mexican Dance Ensemble of Vancouver ( MDE ) was founded in March 2013 by professional Dancer Lourdes Ruiz. We are a Folkloric Mexican Dance Company that specializes in Choreographed stylized traditional dance from various states in Mexico.
During the past 10 years, we have collaborated with local and international artists and had many wonderful experiences performing on several important stages.
Although we are a dance company, we also offer classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers.
Mexico and its beauty are showcased through our dance numbers.

Our rehearsals and classes are held in the center of Downtown Vancouver, BC at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.
