Hey guys, Rocky here. I recently posted in a few groups that I passed the CompTIA A+ exam on my first attempt and many people asked me what my sources were and what my study strategy is. I made a video to answer those questions and hopefully help people pass the exam. I will link my sources here in the bio. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask .

That's the Mike Myers book lol. You mean you bought Mike Myers and total seminars coursework and their book
I got some names mixed up. Too many M’s lol
Pls are you going yo upload more? How do I get contact with you in Linkedin? Thanks for the advice.
Hey I'm currently studying for the CySA+. If I pass that, I might make another :) Send me your LinkedIn and I’ll add you! :)
How long did you study? How many hours per day average?
Are you still replying now?
I like this video
Hey thanks 🙏
Update: I passed the Security+ exam in 2021. Now I am studying for the CySA+. Good luck with your exams everyone.
Hey man hope all is well. Thank you for sharing! Lot of great tips I'm gonna steal from you for sure. How are you nowadays?
Well, that's not Messer's book that's Mike Meyer's lol but everyone does seem to recommend Messer's channel alot for his free study content
Congratulations!! and thanks for the info!
You’re a genius, must be because you’re Italian 😘 thanks for the tips!
I'm glad I stumbled across this video because I plan not to go to school as well due to low income. I'm very happy to see this is obtainable and obtainable with a good set of scores too.
Passed my CCNA 1 and now I’m here trying for my first home taught ComptiaA+ 😊
Home learning and home gym... This guy really is on the save that money lifestyle
Thanks for advice
Windows Mobile? Windows Vista? .. Really? They really need to update their curriculum as no one in their right minds would still be using these!
I work as a CompTIA technician with no studies 😮 I told them I build gaming computers from scratch and I got hired on the spot. now that I got the job I see anyone can do it with out studies. the pay is bad in Texas is $13hr. Currently self learning programming c++ to land a new job
Thanks for the video! One question. Do you read a chapter in the book and find what core objectives it covers, or do you look at your core objectives and go read it in the book? I'm not sure which way I should do it. Thank you
Nevermind, I listened closely. It looks like you read the chapters in order then just marked it on your objectives. And that makes sense to me because you said you need to learn certain things early in the book before you get to the later chapters. Thank you for your video again, it helped a lot.
Hey I know I'm a bit late but is there any possibility of you providing links to the study guide/person dr messer that you are referring to in the video
Great video , just started studying for mine
Nice, how long did it take you if you don't mind me asking?
HAHAHA I have never obtained that certification, I have worked in places where everyone except me has it. In the first week, I detected more than 20 security problems, a month I had already rewritten a more efficient and updated code for several of its applications. And the top of the iceberg was when they gave me a computer that could not diagnose its problem for more than 3 weeks. I fixed it in less than 15 minutes. the certification only says that you know how to take an exam, not that you really know how to do things.
Really good video man thanks
Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks like Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley?
Woethless shthole time and money waster. Words out. A+ has no value. Even ccna 35k. Poverty the new cool right? Yea. Back stabing, bus flinging, ultra paranoid. All dead inside.
Did you make those packets? Or can I find them online? Would like to get a copy... I want to get into It field and will follow these religiously lol cuz I’m tired of my current life situation
Thanks for the video too, helps out a lot
Appreciate the straight fowards ness
I see you holding up course objectives that you mentioned you write on to help you study. where do i get those objectives?
On compTIA’s website
The book is not Messer's it's Mike Meyers'
I got CompTIA Security+ first. I am preparing for the 2nd A+ exam, and the only resources I have been using for the A+ is prior knowledge gathered from hobbies and the big A+ all in one textbook. I know a lot about Windows, Linux, and Android systems. However, I don't know anything about Apple systems besides what I have read in the book.
at what age do you pass the exam haha just asking if im too late
Never too late. There are people in their 40s, 50s and 60s getting into IT and taking these certs.
Hey congratulations on passing your certification!! I got my A+ certification back in 2019. I want to know what did you do after passing your certification? Did you get a job?
1000 pages....broken down. needs to be ONE PAGE A DAY for us normal people.
Thanks for the advice. I’m studying for my A+ cert now. I’ll be applying some of your methods to mine as well🙏🏾 Good luck to you.
Cumpá!
Wow i thought i was organized. Great video thanks for posting i will do my best to follow some of your examples.
Okay guys this is my situation: I just got my BS double majored in Business and CIS. Had an internship, helped run a business club at school. Just received my CompTIA A+ . Had years of customer service experience and can't land a freaking entry level job in the tech or business world. Like what else do these people want from me. Like I can't get more experience without a job or a job with having more experience. How's everyone else doing? Good? Same? Anyways Merry Christmas guys!! IHML :/
There are questions about windows phone?
HOW DO YOU MEMORIZE ALL THIS INFO? someone pls help 😭
Use the peg system and after studying take notes and put on the side and try to explained it to others what you have learned.
Right?!? This is the problem I'm having now. I'm pretty well-versed in wired and mobile devices, but the technical info behind all of this is just SO OVERWHELMING. But I guess it's a good way to weed out those who are serious from those who aren't.
i would love to have u as a tutor
Vista? Noooooooo! ua-cam.com/video/H_KrSMdxqf0/v-deo.html
Yo that’s Mike Myers’ book not Professor Messer’s
Is the A+ certificate valid in any country?
How do I get that objective list again?
Man its not that much easy course
I am non-IT person want to start my career in I T as IT helf desk analyst .. I have ITIL 4 . Can I do comp tia a+ ? Do I need practical experience to practice with theory? Pls help me out

I'm planning on taking my test next month. problem is I really don't have time to study cause I work fulltime and might have to keep a partime job too in order to keep up with bills cause I have nobody to room with. Awesome vid sir; glad I found this. This is discussion is exactly what I was looking: concise, relevant, informative. Most other folk just ramble on about obvious stuff everyone already knows, like “make time to study.”
