      Only if there is a bright light shining into the inside of the tube. Idealy there wont be any bright lights while doing astro but its not a big issue for me.

    So wished I had someone I'd be willing to pay at this point to stack my vids of the planets I've done. One is soooo lucky to have and know how to stack their final astro-images.

    • @astrosmart7061
      @astrosmart7061 3 роки тому

      Stacking and processing really isn’t that hard at all. I’m very beginner at this and this video is about the best I’ve got so far but I can learn to process much better but the initial stack and small process is super easy just watch a few UA-cam videos and you’ll learn in a week

      @@astrosmart7061 Thank you sir by the way I am having a hard time choosing my first telescope so I don't wanna mess this up I am thinking about purchasing a 6 inch dobsonian telescope. Your views will really matter I looked up to several websites but I don't understand what the term exposure time means. As a beginner I am planning to capture images with my android phone.It would be so kind of you to help me

    • @astrosmart7061
      @astrosmart7061 3 роки тому

      @@poonambhatia5161 a 6 inch Dobsonian will be really cool for planetary viewing and deep sky under a dark sight but if you can bigger will always be better. I started with a 5” and it was great. Exposure time is how long your camera will open its sensor while taking an image. The shorter it’s open, the less light has time to reach the sensor. So when we do photography of space we want it to be open for as long as possible. So you want to find a way for your phone to take at least 30 second exposures. But don’t expect to get amazing images with a phone like I have a video of DSOs with my iPhone. A dslr camera will allow you to expose for as long as you want, but if you don’t have a tracker on your scope the stars will start to trail very fast so you’ll be limited to 10 or less second exposures which isn’t the best but you can do it and get results with stacking and processing. Also a Dobsonian isn’t the mount you want to purchase if you want to take long all night tracked images. You need an EQ mount that rotates with the earth so your pictures line up.

    • @poonambhatia5161
      @poonambhatia5161 3 роки тому

      @@astrosmart7061 I really don't know if they both mean similar but I was planning to buy a kson dobsonian reflector 160mm with 1300 focal length. I don't care if I can't photograph it but I just care about seeing it with my eyes.Does eyes exposure time makes a difference in image formed too?Longer we see,the better we see? I don't know about your country but in my country telescopes are super expensive

    • @astrosmart7061
      @astrosmart7061 3 роки тому

      @@poonambhatia5161 Exposure time really has nothing to do with visual astronomy. It is a camera setting. For a 6 inch telescope with 1300 mm you will have a very high f ratio.. with that ratio you will be zoomed in a lot and it will be very difficult to see most deep sky objects. But for planets you would get good views with it. But I would recommend a 6 inch with around 700mm focal length and you can use Barlow lenses to double or triple your focal length. You will get much better views of deep space this way

    • @astrosmart7061
      @astrosmart7061 3 роки тому

      Its honestly very loose and the slightest touch can push it out of focus but ive been mostly fine with it. it has a locking screw but i find it useless because it changes the focus when i tighten it. upgrading it is probably a good idea

    • @astrosmart7061

    Hi! Can this telescope be used in a pure 100% manual mode despite of it being a go-to?

    • @astrosmart7061
      @astrosmart7061 3 роки тому

      You can push it around manually if you want, but in my experience it is very hard to point because for some reason the way its mounted causes it to move out of place a bit when you push it because it is quite heavy to push and requires a bit of force unlike a regular mount would have. its just been so much easier to have it plugged in to aim properly but moving it is fine it doesnt damage it and it remembers where it was pointed if you were already aligned. But if your zoomed in heavy on a planet you wont be able to manually track it very well at all it will be very shaky and its easy to move it too far because of the force
