Your work is so joyful and inspiring. I so love that you keep your pens and pencils et al separated by color and not by medium. I saw that in another video and have been doing it ever since, and it has really fed my creativity when I work in my sketchbook.

Beautiful! What are you you using to lighten the background as you go?

Washi tape is very beautiful. For a cheaper option, painter’s tape works great. For something more professional you can stretch your paper and use “butcher’s tape” -but that’s a whole process and you probably need to google a video for that. Best to all 🌸

Watching you walk through *without* a detailed explanation was possibly more helpful to me. I think I do what you do, just follow my instincts, and trying to follow a regimented tutorial never ends well for me. This is far more instructive. It gives me permission to trust my process and see where it takes me. Thank you!

I want to make prints but I don't understand if I need a special type of ink or paper to ensure quality. Do you have advice on this? Do you buy "acid-free" or "archival" materials?

Thanks for sharing your painting process, I really enjoyed watching! :) - Lichen in UK English is ‘lai-kn’, it’s a symbiotic relationship between fungus and algae. Seems there’s new studies that suggest it’s not as ancient as first thought, I’ll have to read up on that. In any case it’s an amazing organism, I love admiring the tiny structures they form, & I hope to do some macro photography of lichen forms one day. - All the best to you. :)

I'm always so scared to try oils but now curious because of how enthusiastic you are about them. I think my main worry is the clean up after painting. How do you dispose of the solvent? And how frequently do you need to replenish your little jar?

Beautiful colors, I love them all and can tell you are excited to use them. For the oils, do you paint with solvents? I love to Bronze and Gold but using water soluble oils for now, but perhaps those can be used straight without any solvents?

Hi Hannah! I had quite sh*tty day today and didn’t want to do anything, so I just laid in bed and put on your video and after a while listening to your lovely, soothing voice, I felt better and better, calmer and motivated! In the middle of the video, I sat to my desk and started randomly scribbling some landscapes with wax crayons, while listening to you and I’m so greatful you’re doing this for us! I feel great now, Thank you! 🤍
