Go inside the caves at the Gila Cave Dwelling National Monument.
Our most recent stop on Our American Roadtrip was at the Gila National Forest in Mimbres, New Mexico. We were able to hike up to and explore the ruins.
We are full-time RVers traveling the country stopping at new locations every week or two. Come along with us and see where we are and what fun things we have discovered.
With a nomadic life, we are always eager to share our experiences in new places: what the area and campgrounds are like, and what makes that stop a little special. Thank you for the support and for watching.

Excellent video. Sweet Buc-ees shirt BTW. We FT in a similar rig to you guys, a 35ft Class A Gasser with a Chevy Cobalt SS toad for about 1/3 what it used to cost us to live in our S&B home. We've been FT for 5 years in our 1999 coach that's never seen the inside of a repair shop, but of course we've done lots of minor repairs, upgrades and do all the maintenance ourselves. The most expensive maintenance we've had yet is a set of 8 tires installed for about $2,200 last year. You can count on doing this every 7-8 yrs as RV tires age out before they wear out. So, estimating $3k every 8 yrs. that's only $375/yr. Add Escapees excellent roadside assistance plan for $109/yr. and you're all set for towing and minor recovery expenses, with lots of other perks as well. RV insurance and registration varies quite a bit based on your state of domicile, the value of your rig and the level of insurance you carry. We pay a little over $1,000 a year for both registration and insurance for our rig, including our toad. This is probably on the low side. Your cost will most certainly be different than ours. We boondocked 8 months straight last year, usually moving every week or two. It's our favorite way to RV. We have an America the Beautiful pass that not only allows free entry to NPs but typically 50% discount camping at FS, COE and NP campgrounds. Though we usually just boondock outside National Parks for free. It helps to carry enough water (110 gallons usually lasts us 2 weeks - you'll get better at water conservation with experience) and enough holding tank capacity for your gray water (as this will fill faster than your black tank). Boondocking tip - we transfer some gray water to our black tank both to allow us to stay longer and to help the black tank empty more completely when we dump. Having a nice solar/battery/inverter system helps when boondocking, but there are those who don't spend lots of time off grid, who get by just running their generator a few hours each day for their power needs. We typically don't stay in RV parks, but when we do we stay monthly for the best rate. The last commercial RV FHU Park we stayed at, we wintered over in Los Indios, TX, near Brownsville, for only $170/mo. (+ electricity). About a year prior we found an RV park in NC that let us stay in an overflow site in the back of the park without hookups for only $50 a month. They let us use their dump station to dump and fill every 2 weeks, so it was similar to buying an LTVA pass in Quartzsite, AZ but in a place where boondocking sites are hard to find. Be creative. The worse that can happen is they say no. We don't like the TT membership parks, HHs, BWs, or KOAs, yet still manage to find free to cheap spots to camp in most places. If you live in a MH with a large, mounted propane tank I recommend getting an extend-a-stay kit to attach a portable propane tank so you can refill it (or swap it out) and not have to move your MH as often. I also recommend plumbing your RV for either a catalytic heater or a buddy heater like we use as they use far less propane than your furnace. Just be sure to buy and use a propane filter to keep it working. Remember, be sure to crack a window and have a working propane and CO detector when using them for safety's sake. For internet access we use the FMCA's AT&T unlimited data at 25Mbps plan for $65 a month. This allows us to stream 4kHDTV in most places. We use Roku for streaming TV as it's similar to cable and its free. We also pay for Netflix's HD plan that's up to $15.50 now - which is still far less than going to see a single movie.

From Niagara Falls USA but live in Panama City Florida since retiring from the Navy. When I was growing up there were two popular swimming areas on the Canadian side of the border, and we would cross the bridges by ourselves and no passports were needed and a few simple questions were asked and the Border Agents on both sides got to know us by sight. One of the tourist sights on the American side that you didn't mention was the "Cave Of The Winds" were you would wear raincoats similar to ones you wore on the boat, and then actually walk beneath the Falls feeling it's. Also, further down river on the Canadian side is one of my favorite attractions is the"Areo car" over the Whirlpool Rapids. There is much more to do on both sides.

Wow, that was some hike up and down. The caves look so cool, literally. I'm sure when it gets burning hot out there, the cool caves are wonderful. Thank goodness Teddy Roosevelt sought to preserve many cultural and natural sites. I can't believe people were so full of themselves to mark it up with their names or initials but truly people have been doing graffiti since time began. I think that stick was a great idea.
