When were the chemicals added? You said treatment was shampooed out? Haircut then wrap then wrap, applied heat to completely dry hair with curls? This cant be full procedure. Curl would fall out if no chemical or neutralizing step to lock in curl. Beautiful but not full process. Please tell me more. 😮

Do you have any advice on this prompt? (What aspects of your background, your identity, or your school, community, and/or household settings have most shaped how you see yourself engaging in Northwestern’s community, be it academically, extracurricular, culturally, politically, socially, or otherwise?) I have no idea how to answer this prompt as a transfer since I feel like I included a lot of this in my why northwestern essay. Also, for the personal statement what should I include? Are the curls in the room with us?

When I was in college I got a chemical perm. The stylist messed up and got the curls wet to style them and messed with them so much the curls fell and didn't take and they gave me a refund for my then chemically damaged, still straight hair. Your friend's heat set curls were beautiful. The stylist should have set them with hairspray or mousse and scrunching and NOT brushed or wet the curls. P.S. it's cute how you say "rut" for "root". My grandma was from Oklahoma and she said it that way 💚

when you wrote that cornell policies do not allow me to add a cs major, should we be more specific than that? i know northwestern only gives 300 words but for other colleges, around 600 words is the max. I'm not sure how specific to go because what if admissons aren't sure about what the specific policies are in our current college?

Hi, I know this is a bit late of a comment, but hopefully you still read these! Recently got accepted as NU Compsci '29, and I know a lot of people like to double major or take multiple minors. Since you say CS is an intensive major, do people still get away with double-majoring or taking multiple minors? And if say, I don't take any double majors or minors (which I assume is uncommon at NU), is that also fine?

Basically because of the pandemic and financial limitations you never had a chance to actuall experience Cornell. Then you wanted to double major. In other words, Northwestern was always your first choice, you just got in eventually as a transfer student.
