Episode 25 - Bryan Roemer - Family Roots and an Independence Vision
In this episode, I sit down with Bryan Roemer, a college friend from Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, who is making a run for Independence City Council. We reminisce about our days at NKU, hanging out at Skyline Tavern, and the experiences that shaped him into the leader he is today. Bryan shares his passion for the community, what it's like running for office, and why he’s decided to step up for such a position.
We dive into his focus on key issues, from the importance of safe roadways to his vision for the Park 536 industrial project and the long-debated State Project 536. Bryan also opens up about council dynamics, discussing whether candidates are seen as teammates or threats, and how he’s committed to making Independence a better place-never missing a council meeting all year! Plus, her talks about his excitement for the splash pad, dream of seeing a dog park, concerts at the courthouse, and the farmers market on the horizon.
Generations of Bryan’s family have called Independence, Kentucky home, and he’s ready to carry that legacy forward. Join us as we talk about all the reasons why Bryan is just an all-around good guy who’s ready to make a difference in the community he loves!

My friend clung to alcohol and later suffered serious mental illness, never having explored the reason for the alcoholism. The parents moved picked up and moved far away from their close-knit family purportedly due to job opportunities, however, I suspected it was because they wanted to remove their child from a sexual abuser. My friend never explored and hardly considered the possibility of being sexually abused as a child. Throughout the years, almost every alcoholic I met was a victim of physical and/or sexual abuse. This is why I wish more people would avail themselves of competent hypnotherapist in order to release the demons clouding their emotions, which led them to the dangerous crutch of various self abuse.

Man after seeing Chuck getting choked up in just a proud father moment… man I’d been crying , crying. If you know these men it has not all been given, it’s been a ton of HARD WORK! Chuck has always stood on faith, God, Positive Affirmation and why so many of us NKY folks have taken a legit dedication to Tay’s path because it’s been earned, truly. So happy to see what the future holds and we repping positivity & let the chips fall as they may! Love you guys, TL

I’ve always had love for the man & his inspiration to encourage others. Does crack me up that Taylen is more low key but don’t let it fool you he got his b-ball talents from pops!! Proud of both and glad I get to support and watch Taylen grow into what he is becoming and yet to be! Sky is truly the limit for this young man!! 💯
