I used 6 total 50ah connectors. 2 at the trolling motor end. 2 at the battery box end and 1 inside the box and 1 on the battery all using 6 gauge Marine tint cable. @@demolition_fishing so at the battery box you have one plug on the end of the cable that plugs into the box, one coming from the box to the fuse, then one from the fuse to the plug on the battery?

@@thomasallar169 Yeah one out of the back that plugs into the one coming out of the box that connected to the circuit breaker then that goes to the battery

No it sits perfect for me still allowing full access to the dry pod and it's out of the way of brining in my net with a fish etc. I have to lean forward to make adjustments but other than that I'm happy with the positioning. 👍

Yeah the bottom box is my battery box so I keep the battery in the truck when traveling and the short stack has some plano 3600 and misc lighter items. No issues on the last couple kayaks this way. 👍

So I used the 36” length XI3 without any issues. Took a couple trips to get it set correctly to avoid the cavitation but after I found the sweet spot I left it. The quick release is from Motor guide mounted to the One Objective mount. Would recommend the One Objective mount because of the built in handle👍

The base is a Malone Micro Sport and I had a friend build the top section and I added the rod tube and Malone box.

Been a great boat, Nothing negative except the FOMO of no pedals but thats not the yaks fault😄

@@demolition_fishing definitely me. I’m on a PDL now and worry, “what if I’m xx miles out on the Delta have motor issue?” Paddling and fishing doesn’t go together. I certainly want to do more fishing than kayaking 😂 (still on top of the list).

@@Rigs2Ridges For sure, Honestly I've never had a issue but when your able to stand, put the trolling motor on Nav mode and fish a bank in the current or hit spot lock on a windy point I completely😄 forget about pedals

Yeah I forgot to mention I came from a small Crestliner Discovery side console with a 35hp on it.

What size weight are you using and what’s your leader length for the weight? I was going 12-16” with a 1/4oz weight and haven’t had any luck.

@@Benihana716my thought would be most are using a XI3 with spotlock so wouldn’t be much of a need for one.

@@demolition_fishing I thought about that... But does spot-lock work when you got the wind to your back, and you're casting WITH the wind?? Would think spot-lock wouldn't work in a scenario like that, and that your kayak would just swing around?

I used the stock mounting brackets so I could easily remove them.
