Here I want to show you what Sizes in Ralph Lauren (by Crockett and Jones) in US sizing eaquals a standard Crockett and Jones UK sizing RL Marlows (US Size) compared to: Crockett & Jones UK sizing both Calf and Shell cordovan Alden 975 Shell Cordovan Allen Edmonds Leeds Shell Cordovan Also I measured the Width to show what UK size equals the RL US Size, which causes a lot of confusion.

And again, no talk, just a quick shot on the patina process on my Alden #8 Shells. Modelnumber from left to right: 2170 (from 2003), 986 (circ 2009), 97505 (from 2014), 1339 (from 2013) and the 975 (from 2016). Just wanted to show some differences in the patina and color development on some of my most beloved shoes.

Today, no talk - just a quick demonstration of the Aging process of Shell cordovan. This is a Pair of Alden 9900s: A Plain toe blucher made in Ravello Shell Cordovan. This shoe was bought in 2005 and developed some incredible patina over the time.

Shell Cordovan Care - The Blooming Removal Alden plain toe boots - There are several ways to get used to it, but this is IMO by far the best and easiest way. After doing this, you may have to repeat it a few times, but it will decline significantly and after a few times it will be completely gone.

A quick comparison: Alden 990 vs. AE Leeds - both in #8 Shell cordovan. The AE was bought in 2013 the Alden in 2006 - both of them have seen tons of wear and got a nice little brushing (Reno Alden paste Wax) before the video. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
