Another fun movie by Edgar Wright:) There was definitely more romance (at times peculiar, and at times dark) and sentimentality than I expected, and I of course absolutely loved it. As usual, I genuinely appreciated the comedy and the unique vibe of the movie. I wish Bats, Buddy and Doc didn't have to die such horrible deaths though but oh well) The love story was for sure the main character for me in this one, crazy chemistry there imo :3 Despite the occasional gore and the controversial theme the movie still somehow leaves a heartwarming feeling in the end)

Oh yeah, and I totally felt gaslighted by the end...
Roald Dahl, the author of the original book is one of my favorite writers and this film does a good job of bringing its magic to life. The older version of this film is good, too. You have a new subscriber. 👍

Just found your channel! Tim Burton's version of the classic Roahl Dahl tale is fantastic! I do prefer the 1971 film and consider that to be my favourite movie of all time, but Burton's style and visual aesthetic along with Danny Elfman's score has secured this movie's special place in my heart. Great reaction!
