Typhon Grom Slow-mo Launch
A slow motion launch with my Typhon Grom. I’m using Hot Racing shocks which are tuned slightly stiff. This car uses a Spektrum 6000Kv 2in1 system, a ProTek HV 30mm cooling fan, 13T hardened pinion, Matrix & Contact foam tire/wheel, grease PACKED diffs, and a lot of 2S batteries!

    Thanks for this great information. Having a small motor with integrated ESC is a good setup. This way you don't have to mount either your receiver or ESC on the center brace. Awesome tips.

    Also curious, where and how did you mount the 4th link on the chassis/frame. That's all I have left after doing my soa conversion.

    I use my rubber touring car tires on my typhon grom and they work great for everything I wish arrma would make adjustable turnbuckles and camber links for these cars 😎👍

    Im runnig the hpi micro rtr 28mm rims and some tamiya rally blocks with foams. And they are way better than the stock tires when running on mixed surfaces. I use the traxxas 4tec 2.0 stock wheels for parking lot and speed runs. Running the exact set up as you more or less with some hot racing things.(Steering set and adjustable motor mount) And the arrma adjustable links and shocks. And i picked up a second grom fan to mount to the heatsink blowing down. This model really doesnt need a whole lot to be fast and honestly i have my tlr typhon and my nascar felony to rip around if im feeling the need for speed. Thanks for the video. I was looking for confirmation of my settings idea to turn it all down. Also was wondering how to raise the body height to allow more heat exhaust. Love the spacers idea thanks! Im tossing some speed holes up front for intake. Still contemplating going with a castle1010 and a mxm2 combo in the future, but mostly for more settings options for tuning. This thing gives my latrax pre runner a run for its money at this size. Cant wait for the losi nascars to ship. Those are going to ve wicked.

    I'm very satisfied with the stock motor in my typhoon grom it goes about 25mph and I'm used to 50mph nitro cars 😎👍

    Those little buggy are better than people think even the motor I'm used to 50mph nitro cars and the typhon grom is fast enough for me considering the size 😎👍

    Have a few questions I hoped you might respond to. Did you use the stock motor mount or did you have to buy the pack of additional ones? What pinion did you use and from where? Does your receiver have AVC? If so, how does it do with the Grom?

      I am running the exact gearing and motor combo. Its a 2.3mm .5mod 13t pinion iirc. In so far as the motor mount i went with a hot racing adjustable aluminum mount and mesh the gears myself. Instead of using the fixed mounts which arent always correct and have no adjustment.

    The Bodyguard trigger is not smooth at all. I'm surprised S&W hasn't modified it yet. I have not either, but do have some concern if faced with using it for defense.

    I saw another video saying that you should order the low profile belt 2 or 4 sizes smaller. I wear a 34 lol so I don’t know if I should order a 34 or 30.

  • @mcb2757
    @mcb2757 2 роки тому

    Yeah you HAVE to swap out the trigger on these. It's practically useless otherwise. You CANNOT carry this gun for self defense with that stock trigger imo. It's way too long of a pull and way too heavy. When I took it to the range the first time to shoot it I thought the trigger was dead. Come to find I just wasn't pulling hard enough. As always, still make sure you test lots of rounds with a replaced trigger.

    That's a great price for the sight pusher. Way better than a punch and hammer! You really have to do some aftermarket upgrades to make this firearm a keeper.

      Pro-Mag makes a 10rd magazine. I have not tried it though. Still a great belly/ankle gun to this day. I have removed the safety with a Galloway Precision safety elimination plug. Works great!

    Hogue grips are dirt cheap my friend. Better option than heat shrinking inner tube to a gun lol.

  • @scottmcbride2237

    Yeah the trigger is hatroshes. Worse then the LCP. But with the new trigger its a lot nicer. The new trigger does nothing with the trigger pull it just makes it shorter and more smooth.

      Download drivers from microcenter site. Get the motherboard drivers. In the folder it will have control panel for fn keys . Install it. Then click fn and slash on the numpad.

    Hey man was reading through the thread on notebook review and was wondering if u had any tips on thermal repasting or a tutorial video. I Have opened the laptop before but not sure what my next step is in terms of getting to the CPU/gpu. Thanks

    • @djerinich
      @djerinich 4 роки тому

      its pretty straight forward just make sure you apply enough tim on gpu portion, and also pay attention to VRM cooling pads as they do stick on heatsink and can miss them easily, once you remove all 8 screws from heatsink it should come off fairly easily. i have 1520 and saw about 5-10c temp drops after repaste. i used Gelid gc extreme

    Hi, i bought a nice laptop called Defiance V. Having the same Bios i didn't see any Wake-On-Lan option,there are some hidden options or is just that the bios settings? I'm using my laptop like a desktop pc, so activating it manually instead using android app to turn on it is just a little bit annoying.

    You will have twice as many lite primer strikes with the Galloway trigger. Pull the trigger with a factory trigger, gun empty, and watch where the trigger comes back to before it falls. Do it with a Galloway trigger and you will see that it comes back approx. an inch less. Not good.

    • @scottmcbride2237
      @scottmcbride2237 4 роки тому

      This isn't true with mine. I have shot over 3700 rounds of all kinds of ammo and I havent had one light strike. I thank it has a lot to do with your weapon. This made mine a lot more fun to shoot. Doesnt effect trigger lbs it just shortens the pull till it fires. Helped mine shoot more accurate after the trigger change. Best thing for this gun.
