Thanks! I find a lot of skilled creators gloss over all their mistakes, which makes for a good video but sets unrealistic expectations for amateurs like me. I like showing all the twists and turns. I haven't seen Shangri-La Frontier but I just Googled it and the daggers look awesome. No promises about when/if I'll make it but it's on my list!

I printed this on a Bambu P1P but the model isn't too complicated so you should be able to almost FFF/FDM printer on the market for this.

You can check the license on Thingiverse. Anyone is free to do whatever they want with these files, including printing/selling them, as long as it's properly attributed.

Thank you! I was really critical of the wood texture so it's great to know that it's not as bad as I feared. Thankfully my computer did get fixed but I was out of commission for about two weeks.

Thanks! I generally buy the Elmers 16oz tubs off Amazon. Those keep me going for several months to a year depending on the projects I'm doing. I'm not particularly loyal to the brand but I do like the light brownish color. At one point I used white wood filler over white filament and it made the finishing process a bit more challenging.

Yep, you're totally right. I've had a lot of issues with my current project and just spent a week trying to figure out the issue. I saw your comment just after I came to the same conclusion 🥲

I've never seen it before but I looked it up and I'm intrigued. No promises, but does the movie have all the references I need or is there somewhere else I should look? (I know nothing about the FF series.)

@@kevinmakescoolthings Actually if I recall right they put out some of the Concept artwork...yep a quick look and I found a concept Art that shows Crowe with her Dagger it was on the Final fantasy Wiki. And there is Artwork of Nyx holding his daggers for the promotional stuff. And I know for a FACT there is some really good shots in the movie itself. There is a scene where Nyx throws his dagger to warp strike to it from a moving car but is unable to and they show a close up of the dagger as the enemy grabs the knife. Plus for Nyx's knives they are actually in the FF15 game as usable weapons. So you can get reference there. Outsde of Nyx and Crowe I know Libertus Knife axe thing also has references you can find a google search Kingsglaive Libertus gave me several examples. The Nameless Kingsglaives and their Knives which look like a knife version of a Kopesh might be harder to find references for. Hope all those examples help.

I'd like to. I was going to try to make something from the series for September to celebrate the new season. What exactly I make is trickier. There are relatively few small distinctive items early in the series that haven't already been made/posted by others. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Thank you! I don't sell them but the files are all free, so you can use a printing service to get them and assemble/paint them yourself. Alternatively you can buy them for a couple hundred bucks from on Etsy. (Anyone is allowed to print/sell these models, they're just supposed to credit me and most of the Etsy sellers ignore that part of the license.)

Yeah, if I were to do it over again I probably would have mixed in some metallic paint or make it slightly reflective.

I would use either two part epoxy or some thick super glue meant for filling larger gaps.

I had that problem too... I got the original batch from my parent's basement. A few months ago I ran out and had trouble finding a matching product. Eventually I bought a pack of 15 gauge finishing nails off Amazon which work. I generally have to drill out the holes, since they close up during printing, so if you have a slightly larger nail you can probably just use a slightly larger drill bit

It was a bit of a mess 😅I built it from a kit and nothing about it was square. I ended up buying a Bambu P1P and life is much simpler now lol

It's so true! Normally I'm making stuff with a nice flat bottom or some crazy dagger which I can suspend midair with a bit of thread. Sometimes it's the deceptively simple prints which are the most annoying.

Yes! I'm behind on the webtoon (start of season 3) but I've been keeping my eye out for possible projects. I'd like to do Zahard's ring once I get my resin printer working but most of the weapons are too simple to be interesting. It's a bummer that all of the ignition weapons are pretty dull in their base form.

Thanks! I actually get this question a lot. It "should" be the correct size but it's hard to say since the art is inconsistent. If you do the math these daggers are more like machetes in some of the scenes.
