Thank You for the great presentation on the ice reefers and what was transported in them. My grand parents had an ice box for the perishables. My grandfather was the foreman for a produce shipper in the San Joaquin Valley in California. They shipped tomatoes, asparagus and several other vegetables in season. Tomatoes were the big crop. They were trucked in from the fields, washed, sorted and packed in wooden boxes for shipment. Southern Pacific would pull the loaded cars and spot ten reefers, five on each track for loading. The cars were pre iced. As a boy in the late 1940.s and early 1950's I had a chance to watch the whole process. As a boy with a love for trains this was great as the mainline was just beyond the packing house so I got to watch the trains go by. It was neat to watch the 0-6-0 switcher picking up the cars. At that time SP was all steam.

Very nice layout a nice tribute to the gentleman. Half way through there appears to be a bad order brake beam between the tracks. A tripping hazard. Get the section forces on it. Jokes aside great video thank you for sharing.

Outstanding video but I would love some description here. N? HO? Hand laid track? Code? Size of the layout? Etc.

How does the flanger work exactly? I'm interested in building one in 2.5" Scale
