I have a SXTH bov coming in. Im a DCT so do i need this ?
You talk to much about has nuthing to do with the part, and you never showed how to hook up the lines
What I just found out is the JB4 can control their water/methanol injection kit. I was looking for a solution for carbon buildup on these direct injected engines and stumbled onto the Burger tuning one. What's nice is most WMI kits are either on or off but wit the JB4 you can adjust the parameters of when it comes on in the rpm range and the tuner also monitors the system for optimum performance. The benefit is not only will it keep your valves clean but from what I've read you can get 40+hp gains with it.
Is the check valve necessary?
You wouldn't think so if the stock PCV is still in place.
Is this worth it on a stock car?
How do you like it? Does it wake up the car?
I got a 2023 Elantra n line 1.6t is it worth it does it actually work
I see you removed the check valve (the black canister with "0408" written on it) along with the stock solenoid. What is this part actually doing? In hindsight would you still take it off or leave it on?
According to the Cherry Tunning video installing the same part: "It's actually not a check valve, it's just an air chamber, likely to smooth out pulses from the solenoid. It's not required, and can be removed, but retaining it won't hurt anything." Hope this helps, dear future fellow traveler that will find the small handful of videos on this upgrade and wonder about the answer.
I noticed that the part number is the exact same as the one marketed as the BOV solenoid by N75 meanwhile the one in the video (same part number) is being used to replace the Wastegate solenoid. Are they literally the same part but placed in different locations for different purposes?
It’s the same unit, I’m tuned with n75 aswell
@@chill5251 It’s the same part, I just confirmed it myself. It turns out with the newer 1.6T models, the wastegate is electronicaly actuated rather than through vacuum. So I worried over nothing lol.
@@khau.cr2 So do you need two of these if you want to upgrade the BOV and BCSV, or just one?
@@chriscollins3398 It depends on the model, but in my case, I drive ‘23 Forte GT which has an electronically actuated wastegate, not a vacuum actuated one like this example in the video. I only need it for the BOV.
Does it void the warranty ?
tessa tape would have been cleaner than all those zip ties. the new smartstream motors have a diagnostic port under the hood
Racechip or JB4? Im debating.
jb4 , and doesn’t pop up on ecu
Just installed one couple of weeks ago...still couldn't feel the difference
Nope!!! Doesnt work...whats bad? Fuel went from 32mpg to 21mpg.. uninstalled immediately.. total crap!
@@samlexiaso2346 You did something wrong.
Who’s going to dyno tune the car ? I can’t find anyone that pro tunes Hyundai cars. It’s all piggy backs I’ve seen .
N75 Motorsport has tunes
sixth element as well
are you getting much more power or drive with your air filter upgrade? done anything else to the engine? Has the car been good and reliable? - Ive got a new N-line on order, due in a few weeks. thanks.
If is possible that if I have underboost like 0.7b (should be 1.0b at least) it is that solenoid's fault? I cant get what is wrong..
Do they have this for the 2021 hyundai elantra n line?
Yes
Hey where can I get that heat shield for the air intake?
Really like the extra information! By the way, what spark plugs did you end up going with for it, and did you have to gap the new ones?
Been looking into this, thanks for the vid man. What wheels are those?
Konig Ampliform
I ordered an oil catch can from ADD W1 and it didnt come with the check valve, we have the same engine (I have a 2018 Elantra sport 1.6T), what dimensions are your aluminum check valve?
Would you need a tune to run this ECBS? I'm taking my car into the dealership with an overboost CEL tomorrow and if they won't cover under warranty I heard this was a possible solution
No tune required
Same here. Keep getting a P0234 when in WOT either from a stop or up in the RPM’s
My N75 had a much thicker red bracket
Good content. I have 71,000 OEM solenoid.
You’d loooovebthe N75 EBCS upgrade. Makes a huge difference!
Good choices on the fittings and custom mount. Neat mounting spot but is it not a PIA to empty from there? I find I have to empty quite often (I can get away with 4000km in summer but in winter I must empty every 2000 kms).
