Can anyone explain why Jackie suddenly looks like the tribe right after he sees the trucks and realized he can leave? It was like the cut after seeing the trucks made no sense, as if he had now been with the Tribe for a year.

I love the Rotterdam scenery. We all wanted to slide down the slope of this building as a kid.
