V5 is made for this calibration method and will give you better circularity results, not the biggest difference but if you're buying analogs it's just best to get v5 as they're the newest and best

I have not done any manual calibration with the v5s, I was using v3s from march and I was getting pretty much the same results as here. It could be the manual calibration someone else in the hall discord recently was getting overshoot while also manually calibrating, could be a bad pair of analogs though

open the potentiometer and move the magnet back to be facing downwards its too far off to one side, you can calibrate analogs online now so physical isn't needed

they work on console, phsyical calibration keeps it that way, only something like temporary software calibration may not work but even the online software one has the option for permanent

Any of the updated links are no jitter, stores don't sell these older versions anymore, there are some newer ones which might have replaced the ones in the same link but the calibration is the same and it should also be no jitter. I was also even told newer ones can be calibrated through software too, but any of the links below you can order from and will be fine. The stores linked are ones I know to be for sure trusted as some other stores I've purchased dualsense ones from sent me the wrong model for the ps4 so be careful buying individual ones.

you can't with physical calibration sorry, you need the calibration boards, software might be an option i haven't been too updated with them recently

You really don't feel the difference despite the circularity, also keep in mind the circularity usually goes down after the shell is put back together

Its falls under very negligible minute deadzone & hence doesn't get registered as input ingame. Halleffect sensors have no practical downside to it.

They also can be calibrated from the board without physical calibration

check under the orange housing to see if the magnet is flipped upside down, there is no way to reduce circularity except software which to my knowledge is not available yet for ds, but is for ps4, then calibration boards. Circularity is not much of an issue though doesn't affect much & once the shell is on it gets reduced from the square to a circle from the many I have installed for both v3 & V2

@@Layhss first of all thank you very much for answering! There is a possibility I flipped the magnet by trying to recalibrate it just like in your video? Damn I’ll be more prudent next time then. Circularity was on 10ish % before I messed with the calibration that’s a shame. Heh whatever as you said it’s not that important

you can only fix it through software, you can leave it alone as it doesn't change anything in games as they allow inputs outside of the circle

In order for it to work, you have to center the magnets, hall effects work different from potentiometers, it's a manual thing needed to be done when these are installed, even calibration boards you have to center them through software

not hard at all, soldering isn't necessary but if you want touchpad and stuff its not complicated soldering just 1 wire, the install is a little weird for the pcb but it is easy with time. clicky triggers take not even 5 minutes really simple to do replacing the ribbon cable

I can't fully remember what's first but because it's ps4 and not ps5, doing the clicky first is probably best as you can still take the controller apart to get to the TouchPad if your soldering

The trigger on the left pretty sure causes it to pull as there is also magnets which is why if you don't have digital triggers people don't recommend these for xbox

not sure how the Xbox controller work but only way is swapping them with digital/mouse switch triggers

@@wayne6326 its any whole, if you can't hear a click in one hole then use the other one, but you should be using all 4 throughout the entire process

not sure, it shouldn't change the gyroscopic features you probably did something wrong I haven't heard of this issue

open the analog and flip the magnet it has been moved to far/flipped i experienced this the first time i installed

Same process just use the ps4 analogs, and you use either pin holes it's just installed backwards

What colour is the pcb, is it ps4 or ps5? Best model is the red pcb

@@Layhss it's for the ps5 and red pcb. But i noticed a few trembling on y axis. If i calibrate maybe will disappear? And i feel the analog is a little more heavy and i didn't have 100% precision yet...

@@Torontonton27 what do you mean trembling, the jittering like in the video, if its very minute don't worry about it but yes you need to center it and calibrate first, either way it wont show up on screen if its the v3 analogs

Version 3 is the best and most updated/fixed version

When you go left, does it go right? Or up it goes down? If so you need to open up the side housing of which direction it is going opposite. It's like when you're cleaning the potentiometer of a regular analog the same thing you pull down to clean is what you need pull down. You then have to flip the magnet from the up positioning to down and close it
