Glorious day on Colonsay. Spot Colonsay House - great cafe and gardens - and Kiloran Bay with cows on it.
Gordie goes to Bute
Переглядів 1543 місяці тому
Summer's evening flight to Bute for dinner at the Kingarth, via East Kilbride and Largs. Then back to the east via the Waverley as she made her way south down the Kyles of Bute from Tignhnabruaich - she'd been in at Largs earlier as we flew over - then Hunterston, Kilmarnock Prison, Douglas, and over the Pentlands at West Linton.
Mellow flight

From Logan Shira to the top of Loch Lomond and then along Loch Katrine, with a view up to Loch Voil. Where would you force land? Lots of options really.
Oban Airport - nowhere better!

A sublime day in the west after months of awful weather.
Wonderful world still?
Переглядів 707 місяців тому
Flight to Oban started with a view of the latest explosion of building now ongoing near Edinburgh Airport. I remember RAF Turnhouse well and find it ironic that no trace remains of the elegant 30's domestic site, bulldozed years go for absolutely no purpose - you can still see the parade square - while green fields are now turned into flats. Will any of the future residents manage to find a GP?...
West Mainland Flight

Orkney west mainland flight starting with views of Skill House, Skara Brae, and St Peter's Kirk, before moving on to two wartime airfields almost next door to one another, made more visible by the weeks of sunshine in June 2023

Big sky, sea, and shadows over Sanday

Approach into runway 28 on Sanday, heading over Geramount House which when built in C19th must have been very fine, with its gatehouse and walled garden.
Landing runway 14 Kirkwall.

Landing onto the slightly banana shaped runway 14 at Kirkwall is a joy. With thanks to Kevin Heath and canmore.org.uk, the Juniata was originally built in Sunderland and launched in 1918 as the Sprocol. Torpedoed later that year she survived and was renamed Juanita in 1920 and went on serve with the Anglo American Oil company for twenty years. Following the loss of HMS Royal Oak in October 1939...

Strathallan - what goes up must come down, and then go back up again
Bruh this was uploaded the day I was born
Excellent Andrew, just my sort of flying. I'll be out there in the very near future, even if by ferry. It was good to meet you both briefly earlier.👍
Go, Gordy! Need to lose some weight though. Didn't think the plane was going to get off the ground 😮😅
Nice !
Why not have ferries service the route?
But what's the point? Why not take a boat?
ladies and gentlemen welcome abroad this flight to papa westray, flight duration is aaaaroundddd 1 minute. please fasten your seatbelts as we prepare to descend
Dont bother with the in flight movie. You will only catch the titles.
try catapult. much faster
HOTOL most likely might have taken off from here.
Didn't even put the phone on the airplane mode
Cracking scenery, looking forward to flying up there once days get a bit longer and weather settles.
Really weird to see the caravan site to the north of the airport so empty! We have been there several times and enjoy the walk past the airport to the Lochnell Arms! Hopefully it's just that it hasn't opened for the season.
Jokes suitable for this video. 1. Do they show movies on this flight? 2. No meals ? what do you mean. 3. I watched the whole flight.... Here is the place for laughs... ha ha, he he
I bet flaps controller is a bit rusty on those planes, lol
What....flaps???😮😮
Couldn’t they just take a boat?
0:17 (takeoff) 1:50 (landing)
Stupid question, but why is this trip a flight and not a ferry?
Hi Andrew. DW Brasil (brazilian department of the german news outlet Deutsche Welle) here. We are interested in using your video on an explainer about commercial flights. Of course with a credit back to you. Would this be ok? Thank you.
Imagine the jetlag
Hi - where does the flypast start? Great video
Sorry for the delay. Overhead Hogganfield Loch.
I brought a BN2B Islander in there two days ago! (In MSFS 2020)
Stunning
Family had made their money in the coal-mines of Lanarkshire.
“ladies and gentlemen we have to make a diversion.. oh wait never mind”
Maybe the ship/ferry/boat is not invented at this part of the world...
😲
That was one nice landing
Probably the fastest way to reach the destination, however it's everything but a green solution. Hopefully in the very near future a solution like SeaBubbles or similar, powered by wind/sunlight/hydrogen will replace this expensive and polluting way of travel. A few minutes more, but without pollution would be an acceptable alternative.
Place is a shithole.
0:20 takeoff 1:48 Landing
Why not a speed boat?
GoPro Hero 9. Very good though turned itself off further up Loch Earn which was maddening as had glorious views of all three bridges in the most fabulous light while orbiting pre going overhead Edinburgh
Great video! Perfect choice of music in this hot sunny weather! And the lavender fields are stunning! What camera are you running Andrew?
Ay cok guzel
This video deserve more view's
Haha, nice!! I want to take this flight, just because it's great. I thought a meal should be included ;)
better for me to swim or by speedboat...the water is calm...greetings from Indonesia
😍😍😍✈️✈️✈️🥰🥰🥰
I can see my house from here! Haha. Stumbled on your video and enjoyed seeing some of the area from that altitude. I'm a drone pilot but obviously can't get some of those views.
That's very cool. Impressive to seeing you land on the drag strip. 👍
GoPro. Camera remained intact so magnificent obviously 😜
Great video Andrew. Go Pro or Insta360? Shame we never got to judge your landing! :)
My kids would still be doing the "Are we there yet are we there yet?" thing
The pilots here would have record for the most number of takeoffs and landings in their carrier because they are taking off and landing every ten minutes
Planes' long jumb competition
Andrew could you tell me what this music is called and who write it - thank you - 14/06/21
Sadness and Loneliness. Don’t know who wrote it.
and theyve been planning to build a bridge for over 30 years but hey this is more epic
Loganair flight, climb to flight level,,ahhhh, actually, forget that !
