    Hey man, almost everywhere i look for gripper videos says the rounded end is actually the anchor. You say it’s the straight dog end is the anchor? The girl who first certified on #2 said to use the round end as anchor, among many other sources, so you’re confusing me

    • @AtHomeTacticalDefense
      @AtHomeTacticalDefense День тому

      In most cases it makes no difference, and many will say it doesn’t matter. Iron Mind doesn’t specify. Personally, I find that the anchor end of the gripper wants to kick out when the rounded side is the anchor, when using heavy weight grippers. It is more noticeable when fatigued. I believe the correct answer is it doesn’t matter. 🙏

  • @PhanTuongNhat
    @PhanTuongNhat 5 днів тому

    those cheap grippers will surely lose a lot of resistance after few reps but for that price it is acceptable

    • @AtHomeTacticalDefense
      @AtHomeTacticalDefense 5 днів тому

      A person sure would think so, but grippers do not lose resistance. The springs are never tensioned hard enough to cause a reduction in force, and if anything the get a bit stiffer as the steel work hardens.

    I replaced the o-ring on my 3 mags, slathered it with lube and it still leaks from the top. Anything im doing wrong?

    • @AtHomeTacticalDefense
      @AtHomeTacticalDefense 5 днів тому

      Take it apart and remove all of the lube. Install the o-rings dry. Never use lube when sealing high pressure gas.

    Rouded side inward and the straight side is forward.

    • @AtHomeTacticalDefense
      @AtHomeTacticalDefense 10 днів тому

      I personally find that the heavier weight grippers want to twist out of the palm with the curved side to the thumb, and that is why I always place the straight side to the thumb. With some grippers, the difference is quite noticeable nearing the end of a session.

    Has it held up still after 9 months? I'm having leaking issues through the output valve, which is probably the same thing as your problem. I tried 2 solutions. 1st to lube the o-ring, and the 2nd is sealing the inside where the output seats in. They almost work, but I'm probably going to buy the o-rings as my last resort. If i do get the o-rings and it works, then I'll be thankful for you for helping me out

    • @AtHomeTacticalDefense
      @AtHomeTacticalDefense 16 днів тому

      Yes! I’ve had one leak which was fixed with a 1/16th turn tighter on the valve and I tested a few mags by placing them to the side to sit for a few months with new cartridges, and they held their charge. I think I just didn’t torque that one quite hard enough initially. The o-rings work perfect.

    • @Silencer1620
      @Silencer1620 11 днів тому

      @AtHomeTacticalDefense so i just got the o-rings in today, and it works, but when I shoot it, it leaks out small amounts and stops. Idk if that's normal but I'm hoping it is. The longest it been leaking out is 6 seconds and that sounds bad. Its not leaking fast but slowly like a faint whistle. I'll probably have to change out the valve if that's the other problem.

    I wanted a gripper and I was debating on what to get cause they are expensive to get in my country. I felt like my grip is stronger than average so I bought CoC #2. Within a month or two I was able to close it but I found it hard to progress so I caved and got a set of 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5. Now I have something for active recovery or endurance training, a gripper before the one I try to progress to and one heavier when I feel like I'm ready. I stopped for a few months and now I kinda struggle to close #2 these days. I'm gonna start training now and by the end of 2025 I hope to close the #2.5. As a side note: I dont work construction or plumbing or anything like that. I'm in uni and work a soldering job. Was about 20 or 21 when I got the #2.

Sit down extra slowly to build muscle strength. Incorporate extra effort into daily tasks to improve and maintain muscle strength. Don’t let a diagnosis hold you back. They diagnosed me with Corticobasal syndrome in 2016 and I’m still here. Now, they call it early onset Parkinson’s. Good luck!

    Few years ago I had a hard time finding a set of second hand grippers and came across HG 250/300/350 presumably because the previous owner saw no logical reason to keep them. I couldn’t close the 250 for a few months. Still cannot close the 350 and have only managed to truly close the 300 maybe a dozen times in 5 years. Depends on if you ate breakfast, how many times you worked out that week, your overall mood. Most people just don’t get why? I usually say it helps me to lift more but really we’re all just nuts.
