These guys are fantastic. I am a former navy commander, submarines, but never have I sailed a sloop or any sail ship. I remember this song when the Beach Boys sang it, maybe 40 years ago. It is a song I think that dates back to the 1800s. I sang some of these songs in a few pubs in Scotland. :) I was never so hated, or so loved in that country for what I was. A commander of a US nuclear sub. I am Irish, well part of me. My mother 100% Irish. My father 100% Italian. I am the mix they left behind, lol. They are both dead now. Scotts are the most stong minded, fierce people in their beliefs of any I have had the priveledge to know. These guys I think are English, or maybe Irish, so maybe they do not like Scotts. I am half Irish, but I have never been to Ireland., where my mother was born. I have been almost everywhere in Europe, the med, nothern africa, but never Ireland, Go figure???? edit you know it is crazy, I speak German and Spanish but not italian or Gaelic. My mther and father only spoke english around my brother and sister as we grew up.

I used to play on the road to Malpas from Truro when I was 8/9. And, if really naughty, I'd follow my older cousin, Simon to the opposite bank of the Fal ,Truro, where the piles and piles of mine waste - arsenic etc) were piled. We fished for crabs and whatever. Right by those piles of ore. Until, luckily, my dad did stop us, because he found out what we were doing and knew what the waste contained. The authorities did not give a shit.

I heard about you a few years ago , then lossed track after "life circumstances" , and re-found you . Your singing warms my heart and soul . Thank you for finding your beautiful harmony !
