I had a little more time to create one of my regular videos, of things that happen in my daily travels... You'll notice my new green vehicle in some of the video clips, I traded in my Tiguan for a Prius C the middle of 2021, it gets far better fuel economy... BUT, some people still have a hard time seeing me!?!

Sorry, it has been awhile again since I've uploaded a new video... Along with Mom going into Long Term Care the middle of 2021, I've also been dealing with many other things the past several months, so needless to say, I haven't quite felt like creating anything new. But, as you can see by the time stamps, I've been collecting and saving all the clips!

Douchebag Cyclist this morning... You can see the car to my left is close to the white line, so I give them space, still lots of room on my passenger side, but not for this fat headed Cyclist! Snide comment, and blows the red light, way to go you tool shed!

Like others have said, at least 3 people share blame: the pedestrian (obviously), the dash cam driver (failure to slow to a safe speed when approaching stopped traffic and a likely road hazard-trying to pass the stopped cars on the right, at speed was clearly not the right option), and the following driver (following way too closely). any one of them conducting themselves correctly would have prevented the collision; it took all 3 mistakes to make this happen
Pedestrian idiot should work at a airport guiding in planes to their berth. Thats how they wave right, with those orange signals.. He truly is acting very irresponsibly in this video and should be charged for that behaviour
The guy was a total idiot. Try to slow down a bit more when you see cars abruptly slowing down for no apparent reason though.

I saw your video earlier, how did I not catch that this is where that happened ? lol that's where a friend from SOPC helped install my push bar.. The hardest part being never having the brackets for the push bar for over a year that I already had the actual bar, second hardest part being pulling the bumper , which really wasn't bad, but I wasn't going to get ready to do that without having the mounting brackets
Sometimes a Welding Shop can fabricate brackets.
@@ve3thw Yep a metal worker of some kind or other should have no problem duplicating brackets, but the hard part is having the brackets in the first place to go off

The Tow Trucks on scene without their lights flashing also didn't help matters. They are hard to spot, but the 2 Pick-up Trucks on the left shoulder are actually Tow Trucks.

If a car can't stop in time to avoid rear ending a braking car, they were following too close and it's their fault. If everyone approaching the accident were driving defensively, there wouldn't have been a second one, idiot pedestrian or not. Blame the driver who was following too close for safety.
I guess part of the problem, the guy that rear-ended me, he had a car load of people, so likely distracted by them.

That waving hands guy couldn't move faster? Come on. I know technically is not your fault. Just saying what I would have done. As soon as I see those two cars in the middle lane that their brake lights came on, I'm slowing down. I would be thinking why are they slowing way down on a highway. Definitely something in their way. So that's their lane, what's that gotta do with my lane? This video answers the question. Whatever blocking their way that i can't see now could move into my lane. Often times, the cars in front of you tells the story.
You did see how quick those vehicles stopped right? I think me stopping and not killing the guy means I was paying attention. And this is a major Highway, where people aren't supposed to be strolling around on.

It looks to me that you came across the scene of an accident and an idiot behind you wasn't very good at driving. In fact, an awful lot of the drivers passing through the scene of this incident appear to be idiots, why the hell were they not slowing down earlier? The chap waving his arms appears exasperated at the fact that everyone appears to have such terrible driving skills here
As I mentioned, my attention was directed at the vehicle on the right shoulder, my view of the left was blocked by the vehicles to my left... With that said, SOME of the vehicles on the left shoulder were actually TOW TRUCKS... Yes, those vehicles that look like Pick Up Trucks are actually Tow Trucks... Now you will likely ask "well why don't they have their lights flashing to warn traffic?"... Haha... Well that's the "game" some of them like to play... It's called "let's NOT warn traffic, and try to cause another collision! Well, mission accomplished! In the process, they almost got their customer KILLED!!! If that had their flashing lights activated, especially on the shoulder of a Highway like this, traffic would have 100%, okay, maybe 60% of traffic would have slowed down. Buddy walking across a MAJOR Highway like he's going out for a stroll in the Park, that should have NEVER happened, pedestrians aren't supposed to be walking across the Highway like that... Check out the CTV News coverage on this too, even the Police were like WTF?!?

Exactly... There were coworkers that saw the Media coverage of this, and said I should have hit him... But I lost enough sleep that night thinking of what could have happened, I'm glad I was able to react in time and NOT kill him.
