    There's a weird overestimation of the loss of Hartenstein. People have to understand.. Hartenstein was not scouted as deeply as he will be now. Lets see how he handles expectations along woth increased attention. Julius Randle had to adjust to teams scheming for him and his spin moves which worked withbthe Pelicans didn't work anymore in NYC. Same with Jeremy Lin.. once teams schemed for him he couldn't adjust. The main reason he is missed is because Mitchell Robinson's injury history.

    We are a big injury risk team with OG and Mitch. So, all of this is is conditioned on that. IF we manage to stay healthy, we are a 65+ win team and a contender. But, its unlikely we sneak by without at least one major injury, so 53-55 wins is probably realistic. And, Bridges will be a natural fit. i don't expect a lot of break-in period. Just don't expect him to be a 25pts guy for us. He will slide to #3 option behind JB and Randle and will give us 16-20 pts on very good percentages and will play elite defense once again. As long as Randle is healthy, in shape, and knows his role, Bridges is an ideal #3.

    A way to run small ball would be to get jerami grant, jon issac, or maybe even jabari smith jr. All 3 guys could play the 4 allowing you to play julius at the 5. All 3 are rim protectors and can shoot the 3. This way you'd have your 3 defensive anchors in mikal, og, and whoever we get to play the 4.

      Yeah I wouldn't do it before the year, I just think the spacing/injury risk combo is going to prove to be too significant of an issue. As for the jumper we've seen clips for years, don't think it's ever going to be apart of his game, would love to be wrong.

    • @ShiftyLee
      @ShiftyLee 7 днів тому

      @lockedonknicks - I tell people all the time that they have to realize not everyone needs to score or shoot. There is only one basketball 🏀 as a Team each player has to play a roll. Mitch is perfect for his role and the others support that. Mitch got injured trying to block everyone because of guys like RJ, Bodega 44, played no defense. He has help now so we need to manage his minutes and play Team basketball ball. Trades is not the answer all the time. Knicks looking good 🫡

    With the shooters around Mikal, if he wants to be higher usage player with high efficiency, he will be great! Mikal didn’t have the teammate’s he will have in NY! However, he will be 17 fga player for us

      17 seems a bit high .... I'd venture closer to 14-15 on average. Lot of mouths to feed.

      You need another center maybe . The Knicks need to keep Robinson . Hoping the new assistant coach, Mark Bryant , helps make Sims , a very good or even a great center. Precious did well against Embid in playoffs .

    Without a true center, I don’t think the Knicks can win 50 games. I see them being in third or fourth place they’re not gonna win. They’re definitely not gonna be Philadelphia. They definitely not gonna be the bucks. They don’t have a sinner so that did not go that faris coincidence you can play basketball without sin but they’re gonna learn and they’re gonna learn the hard way when the season start and the minute they lose and they’re not winning games and a minute day on the 50 and probably third or fourth spot they’re gonna learn they’re going to learn they should’ve got a senate watch. It’s going to fall right in their hands because they should’ve took care of this.

    Doesn’t matter if Julius Randle come back doesn’t matter of OG and them is good without a center. You ain’t shit that’s it. You need somebody to back up Mitchell Robinson getting hit this guy back doesn’t mean nothing. It means shit you can’t win a championship. I don’t understand why the next is so stupid. They know what they gotta do, but they’re gonna learn if they don’t win this year I’m gonna tell everybody I told you so you have to have a son of the winter championship. Mr. Robinson is not getting this guy back is not it. You need somebody that’s going to be healthy. they should’ve took care of that first before they started adding all these pieces but again once this season start is gone. They’re gonna collapse again is gonna fall right in their hands. They’re gonna lose because they didn’t do what they supposed to do. I put bets on it? I would bet any amount of money on that that’s gonna happen because they didn’t get a son that’s it.

    The Knicks will not win the championship that’s not gonna happen until they get a true center somebody that can replace Mitchell Robinson if they cannot do that mark my words I put bets on this stand, not winning the championship. They just not gonna win this guy back you need a salad you need a healthy plain and simple hands-down. The Knicks have not done that they have not done that whatsoever so that there won’t be no championship. They will never win it until they get it that’s it.

    Sims has had his needed surgeries . He is athletic . The Knicks picked up a great big man coach, Mark Bryant . Sims could easily become the most improved player in the NBA. If he doesn't work out, there is a couple of G League centers that might be the answer.

    Julius is not worth $62.5 mil a year if we get to the ECF and lose in 7, we honestly probably could’ve done that last year if OG didn’t get hurt in the Pacers series
