You guys make me laugh so hard! Thank you, I needed that. Btw, you forgot that they also have Moondancer on Team Black. So, it's Syrax, Vermax, Moondancer, Seasmoke, Silverwing, and Vermithor. And if Daemon ever gets his damn head on straight and GOES HOME, then they also have Caraxes, and depending on what happens with Rhaena in the Vale, Sheepstealer. I know everyone is upset that Rhaena may claim Sheepstealer instead of Nettles, and I hate that it looks like a case of Brown-Girls-Are-Interchangeable, but I think I'd rather that they give Ms. Phoebe Campbell something to _DO_ and show that she _CAN_ act (because she can) rather than introduce a new character at this point. I know that Nettles is kind of important because she doesn't look like a Targaryen and because she's low-born and she tamed this dragon all on her own without any help/guidance. But we already have the class issue playing out with the three men, and Addam doesn't look Targaryen either (he doesn't even have Valyrian silver hair) and unlike Hugh who KNOWS his mother was a Targaryen, Ulf and Addam have no idea what their bloodlines are. And it may be that the show is trying to be more sensitive, because it's really a sad thing that the only character of color in the book is described as being foul-mouthed and foul-smelling, and that Daemon had to show "how to properly wash herself." Granted, I have not read the book, but the descriptions I've read of her are just...it's not a good look. I know people think it's important to keep her because she and Daemon might have a thing later on, and this plays some kind of role in screwing up his marriage to Rhaenyra and sends her off to make angry decisions that (I gather) don't go well for her. Personally, I think that's a bad motivation, though. And I would just like to remind everyone that season 3 has not been cast yet, so there is still a possibility that when Rhaena finally tracks down Sheepstealer, it COULD be that she's going to find a young woman bringing sheep to the dragon. Nothing is set in stone YET.

On behalf of the SANE non-toxic Star Wars fans like myself... I'm sorry. Idk wtf has happened to that fandom in the last decade (or two), but there are a metric TON of people in it who seem to have forgotten that being a fan of a property means you LIKE it. The people who hate on Disney for "ruining Star Wars" and swear their undying loyalty to the vision of no one but George Lucas are the SAME people who put Lucas on blast for the Clone Wars animated series when it came it (tho they eventually LOVE that), and put him on blast for the prequels (tho know they swear by them) and more often than not they are same people who put him on blast for adding Ewoks to Return of the Jedi back 1983 (in all fairness, they still seem to hate the Ewoks, which is part of why we don't get along). The hate that the Acolyte gets makes me smh and throw up my hands. Maybe Star Wars has just been around too long. The fanbase was huge for the 80's but still manageable. Now we're 40 years in and they keep picking up new fans, so many different people with different viewpoints, and ALL of them dead set on the idea that "My view of it is the only GOOD one, and if you don't have the same viewpoint as me, then you're trying to ruin/take away/destroy the thing that *I* love and replace it with what *you* love." Everyone who insists we need to all think the same way needs to look in the mirror and make sure their Imperial uniforms are straight. Me? I'm a part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor to the Empire. I do my own thing. So, Mr. Mondy and Mr. Jones, on behalf of the Rebels I give you my apologies on behalf of my Imperial cousins. They're too busy eating those cookies to realize they've fallen to the dark side.

Tom Glynn Carney (Aegon) played those injuries so well, and did you notice that as soon as he opened his eyes and saw Aemond, he whimpered and grabbed the bed and tried to pull himself away from Aemond? Total fear there. That's why when Aemond asked what he remembered, he IMMEDIATELY said "Nothing." And then Aemond basically tortures him says "You took on Meleys. Foolish of you." Basically telling him, _this is all you tell anyone about what happened, or ELSE._ Omg, I actually felt total sympathy for Aegon in that moment. No one deserves that kind of treatment. And it showed just how coldly psychopathic Aemond is.

49:00 right there. Yes. That is what this show is about, and thank you, Antonio. I've been saying that to all the haters up until the rant I just posted below when I finally let it all go, lol. No, the show isn't perfect. No tv series can be. And honestly, I think they sort of hamstrung themselves trying to set it up as a mystery drama. We should have gotten the scene with Senator Rayencourt back in Episode 1 or 2, and there were definite pacing issues. I'm not entirely sure Ms. Stenberg did enough in her acting to differentiate between the twins, but that might have come down to the director(s) not pushing for that. I've always said Hayden Christiansen CAN act. The only reason he wasn't that good in the prequels is because he had someone who, frankly, isn't a good director and admits that he isn't a good director. (And also, you know, the lines he had to read...) Still, I'd love to see what she could do with a season 2 (if she can stand to deal with all the hate again), and honestly her last moments talking with Vernestra and sounding so _lost_ and timid broke my heart. The fight choreography -- the thing everyone complained about with Obi-Wan and Ahsoka -- was top-tier, the Easter eggs were _subtle_ fan service (the best kind), the costumes were GORGEOUS. The pacing needs help, though, as you mentioned, and we needed more time with the characters to get to really know them. I could have watched half a season just on the witches because Jodi Turner Smith was MAGNIFICENT, and I would love to see more of her leadership, explore how she fell in love for Korril, find out what the Ascension really is and how it affects the girls, and and and and... And the other half a season could have been about Sol, getting to know him know as this more centered and focused Jedi Master so that when we see his mistakes as a younger Knight, we really feel the difference. And also so his death feels even more heartbreaking because we got more invested in him. It was too rushed and we got told too early -- just episode 3 -- that he was involved in something shady regarding the death of all the witches, so I was suspicious of him from then on. And btw, seasons need to be at least 12 episodes, imo. Anyway, I hope most of the actors attend Celebration so they can get the cheers and feel love from the fans who show up for them and drown out the internet hate.

And she MADE me the white dress and made these little donut forms so we could put my hair through them and wind it around and around to I had buns accurate to the way they were done on my doll. And this was before SW was EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE knew what it was, because I got asked by one lady if I was dressed as an angel. 🙄That didn't stop me from buying the Marvel SW comics off the spinning racks at K-Mart every month and hoarding them. And it didn't stop me from creating my own SW stories from the time I was 10 years old in the backyard with my brother and my cousin, and to start writing those stories down around age 12. I'm STILL doing it, too. To all those straight white men who try to tell me that I don't BELONG in this fandom and these stories shouldn't be about me, look mother-effer, *I* was here before YOU were. 🤬 Get the hell off my lawn and stop trying to tell me what I should or shouldn't like about new SW media. If you don't like it, that's fine. Don't watch. And quit with your "They RUINED Star Wars!" tired-ass routine, because I heard it back in '83, and again a couple of years later [the Ewok TV movies], and again in '91 with the Thrawn Trilogy, and again in '99 with the first of the prequels [in fact, I was the one saying it] and so on and so on and so on. This franchise has survived for 47 years. That is 92.16% of my life, and I have been a fan the whole time. (Well, I think I took about a 5-year hiatus after the prequels and during the Yuuzhan Vong war in the EU books, but even then I was writing my own stuff.) Women like me have ALWAYS been here, we're going to STAY here, and we're going to open the doors for others to come in too. Deal with it. (Sorry for ranting.)

The best comment I saw regarding the dragon on dragon violence is that it turns out a dragon fight is less like two tanks battling and more like two dogs fighting. It definitely hurts to watch that, and to hear the dragons cry when they are hurt and to see them do things like when Meleys looked back at Rhaenys as Vhagar was killing her, as if she was sorry she didn't win the fight for Rhaenys and save her life. And to see her die while still in Vhagar's jaws, the light going out of her eyes before they close...omg that was tough.
