      @@MoreBear Although you are right, when fitting side panels and deco strips etc. the magic measurement is the thickness of the door, 18mm plus 4mm which allows for the hinge protrusion. 22mm is the correct distance for fitting the decor strip; anything less and the door will not be aligned with the deco strip/panel. Remember the magic number is 22mm. Deanne, kitchen fitter.

    The third side view of the, the one with the X across, shows the product with a high bend, higher than the other two. the instructions do say to avoid a high hump. Why? my experience is that the high hump does promote or aid the leafs and other roof debris to collect at the bottom of the gutter cover, and eventually build up. The gutter cover should be flat, the flatter the better, as the wind will just blow the leafs, especially dry ones, the wind will just blow them away.

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear 6 днів тому

      That's a great point. I think it all depends on the size (width) of your gutters in determining the "hump". 4" gutters will have to be compressed more to fit in thus creating a higher hump. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Please subscribe as it really helps me as a creator!

    Hello good morning this is Darryl Patton from Grand prairie Texas I have a 2012 Ford Taurus the cross-traffic system fault turns the air conditioning off and turn the heater on is there a way that I can get rid of the cross traffic sensors I'm in my 60s so I'm used to looking in my mirrors to back out so I don't need that

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear 14 днів тому

      Hey Darryl. Unfortunately I am not familiar with your concern. I do know that disconnecting components and devices does not make the PCM (or brains of the vehicle) happy. The only suggestion I could make was disconnecting the 12v battery and letting it sit for an hour or so and reconnecting. This will reset all the computers and may help. Hopefully someone here could answer the question? Thanks for the question and for watching.

    This is one of those things where there are a lot of right answers, and it's all a matter of taste. In my kitchen, I put them on "backwards" so the visible parts are square and that beveled edge is hidden. The face of the deco strip is even with the face of the doors, no reveal as here, with the end panels to the top and bottom of the deco strip. That goes better with my Tistorp slab front doors. Easier too! Though I might do it the way you are for shaker-style doors. Another tip - in a section like this, it will look better if you put a cover panel on BOTH ends, rather than having the cabinet right against the wall. You don't need to use a full panel, just a strip that you cut off one of the ones that shows to fit it to the wall, as long as it has a factory edge. Looks MUCH better with the symmetry.

    hi, for the filler pieces for the 18" door. in order to center the door i would use 4 filler pieces in total correct (2 pieces on each side)? how thick are the filler pieces and would having 4 filler pieces impact the usability of the door or the hinge? thanks

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear 25 днів тому

Been there for 4 days so far and was told it’ll be another 3-5 days till they get the parts. Kinda scared to drive the car when I get it back as if it only lasts a month from new doesn’t say much about its longevity. How do you do this if the Cabernet is already there

      Great question! Without knowing the layout of your house, I would start with removing the toe kick to see what is under there and how much access is provided. Thanks for the great video! We're currently renovating using this same approach with the Sektion Ikea corner cabinets, and I'd like to know if you think we can squeeze in a 32" sink in vs. a 31". I saw the note on your overall sink size being 31" x 18" x 9" deep, but the fireclay one we're looking at is 31-7/8 x 18-7/8" x 10" deep. Thanks again!

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear Місяць тому

      Honestly, probably will. Just make a template of your sink and play around with it in the corner cabinet. You will need to trim some space on the cabinet sides, but I think it will work. Please like and subscribe. Thanks for watching and the question!

    • @brianhull9735
      @brianhull9735 Місяць тому

      @@MoreBear Thanks so much for the reply. We made a template as you suggested, and yep, the only way it would fit is if we cut into the sides. However, it would have created too much of a distance from the front of the countertop to the inside edge of the sink, requiring us to bend over, and our backs would have paid the price, so we returned the 32" for a 27". Though it's not as large of a sink as we wanted, it will be more ergonomic once installed. Thanks again. You're a wizard at what you do. Cheers!

    The relief line that’s usually on pads is to help the pad actually flex so it doesn’t crack right?

    Thank you!!! Saved us a bunch of time and headache. We had a more simple set up, but this was a super helpful!! Our kitchen set up is super basic compared. We put the deco strips on the top of the cabinets before actually hanging them as we did not have any corner cabinets and just straight edges. Worked ok, as our ceiling is super wonky, in an old house, and not at all straight so we had to hang about 5/8 gap below the ceiling. Looks decent enough. Cheers!

    Next time try a battery booster to boost start on the jump starter post, open the door and start the car within 10 seconds, once dc dc is on, at least you can drive until car is off. Learnt in a hard way with f150 lightning, but the f150 12v has bms issue, battery itself was fine

    Hi, thank you for the great video, it has helped me a lot with planning the install of the kitchen cabinets, my question is, how far down from the ceiling did you mount the hanging rails, in order to leave enough room for the moulding on top of the cabinets?, it looks like you left a small gap between the the top of the moulding and the ceiling, how much gap did you leave?, please let me know when you can,, thank you,,,

    Thanks for the professionally prepared video. You are fortunate that you were replacing the seat damper. My damper was fine but the seat had its finish worn off and it was a horribly brown stained mess. The 3 screw damper you removed holds the seat in place. I scratched my head and said bad words, then I removed the damper and got the seat off. Dunno if you want to re-edit your video. Hopefully folks in my situation will read my comment. Thanks again.
