    Thank you for posting such an honest, open and balanced view about gender affirming care in the UK. I am in the early stages with GenderGP and have been pleased with their support to date. The NHS, to be fair, is not really equipped (or willing, it seems) to make gender care a priority. There is progress with the number of gender clinics, but the waiting times (I was told that for me it would be 49 months for the first appointment - what???!) - but I do have a bigger problem with the GP service in the UK in general, combined with the poor treatment of Doctor Webberley. Thankfully she is still fighting the good fight with her team. Happy to see your progress - keep on going!

    I think the changes are good on you,i guess the problem with ffs is its very hard to competley get rid of male features because they are mainly bone but can also be hard to change every single feature and still look natural. I'm a cis woman and I paid for a jaw reduction done by Mr. Maini who was apparently trained by Keith altman. He seemed like a decent enough surgeon but the work i paid for him to do, he did not do or atleast he did a very sub standard job,which is so disappointing. I feel scammed to be honest. I'm currently looking for another surgeon to do a revision. Good luck with your journey though.

      If I had my time and more courage, I would have gone to the face team in Spain. I had to get my nose redone as I wasn’t happy with that work. Although that wasn’t done by Altman. It can be hard to find a surgeon with the same vision of yourself. I hope you able to get a revision and a result you wanted.

      @@HoneySissygurl I'm glad you were able to get a revision of your nose, are you happy with it now? I've heard about facial team in Spain but wasn't sure about leaving the country for surgery, do you know anyone who has been to them and had good results?! Living in a body that doesn't look the way you feel it should is so hard..its a type of distress so few people understand. I hope I can find peace and I hope any other person who feels this can find peace too...and of course I hope I can find a surgeon who shares my vision!!

      Yes when it comes to the medical reports there are few options, wait till the stars ✨ fall from the sky or go private which isn’t always easy to find either. My original diagnosis from private service opened a few doors at the time but ultimately I had to wait for GiC to get them self together. Unfortunately the pandemic has only made things worse. You will get there and if you can research whether there are affordable professionals services near you. Also your Gp can be one of the medical reports which sounds like you have already did so well done.

      Well, if you tried laser and it’s not working for you then Electrolysis is the only other proven hair removal method. But there are lasers and then there are lasers. ipl laser won’t do a thing for us, so if tried that then you’ve not tried laser, if your skin is light toned then you want Alexandrite lasers machines. if your dark toned then you wanna try find yag lasers machine. Plus on top of that there your hair colour to consider if the hair are white or blonde then sadly it won’t work, it is less effective on reds heads like myself work better on brown and best on black hairs.

      Katie FYI: there’s nothing stopping you from either asking your Gp to refer you to local S.a.l.t services if there Supportive. Plus don’t be afraid to ring your GiC up once a month or so and find out what’s happening with these things they promise. The outbreak means there a lot more willing to offer these things remotely now. Something they wouldn’t have entertained before. The fact your voice bothers you personally will probably benefit you as well. It will drive you to really apply your self in the voice therapy and practice on your own too. This means you will mostly get wonderful results. Fingers crossed 🤞 for you and I hope they get back to soon.

      Lucy gowler there’s a lot of stuff you need to provide for a GRC certificate. However if you’ve already changed your name and title via deed poll or similar service then that is a good start and any proof that you have used it to begin social transition. So doctors appointments with new name and title driving licences or work stuff like pay slips p60 if you’ve informed HMRC. That said this all helps and if your still waiting for first appointment then you don’t have to have done anything yet, but sooner you can start clocking up time in your new gender roll socially the easier it makes thing going forward. Not knowing what stage your at socially makes hard to advise.

      Make sure you use product for heat protection too. By the way I also think the surgery did well for you. It all still looks natural and feminine. Some post surgeries just look ....well fake. Your's really looks great.

      emily mees I may not be on very long because of copper and I know that’s going to be a big issue for a lot of people because as of January 1 I am temporarily suspending my channel on my own and I will not be posting anything new except for commenting on other peoples videos sorry I haven’t put any my own videos of lately I’ve been kind of dealing with a lot of stuff and including the fact that I am now an empath and found out about four months ago and I’ve been dealing with that trying to learn how to control and my abilities re-changing it because one word got messed up at law that the federal that the federal government the federal trade commission is going to go after a UA-cam her son yeah that long that’s why am going to be suspending putting out any videos and probably screening all of my videos as of January 1 to see if I would actually be hit with a maximum fine of $42,000 but hopefully not for noncompliance

    Your nose & eyebrows l👀k great! Try using a leave-in hair conditioner and a bobby pin to make pinup girl curls with your bangs and side fringe...to help train your hair to: stay!🤷🏻‍♀️

    I hate going to doctors who don't listen. I had a neurologist that did that. He prescribed muscle relaxers despite that I have neurogenic syncope that causes my blood pressure to drop randomly. I was passing out daily on the relaxers and even got a concussion. His response was to raise the amount of medication. My heart doctor who referred me there for the neurogenic syncope found out and called him to scream at him for that. Good luck on your surgery and recovery. Hope to have an update soon

      L R the service is still holding on doing there best with over seas docs handling med’s but the Helen and Mike can be held on temporary suspension for as long as the gmc likes. This is a fight that will be measured in years not months.

      Honey Gal This is disgusting. So unless you’re a millionaire, you have to wait three years being held hostage to the appalling NHS waiting lists just to get a prescription for hormones?

    • @HoneySissygurl
      @HoneySissygurl 5 років тому

      L R there are a few private options. Like gender care as well as a few others which are basically nhs staff moonlight doing what there meant to be doing on the nhs anyways.

      L R I would still give “gender gp” a look. Plus gender care otherwise. Its a long frustrating wait. At least they do have a good counselling team. Which might help you while ya wait for nhs.
