Thanks for the kind words! The speed and precision were incredible, especially that close to the ground in windy conditions. I was actually having trouble keeping up with it while filming! I believe it’s mostly stock 6S, except for a larger capacity battery, which required some minor mods to the fuselage for CG adjustment. Absolutely! A skilled pilot really brings out the best in a Yak, but it’s definitely a great plane to work with.

Thanks! The wind was tricky and made it a bit of a challenge! The Stick family is such a classic-having four variations must be a ton of fun. Gas could be a solid alternative with fuel prices these days. Totally understand preferring nitro or gas over electric; it’s hard to beat that authentic RC feel!

Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about the exact setup, as the motor and propeller came from an old foam kit plane. It’s a creative way to reuse old RC gear for something new!

@@RCDougNSN There was one other question I forgot to ask. Did you CG your plane using the CG jig that came with the kit, if so did it work for you? That is my next step. But I also use a EZ Balancer to check the CG. Will try the jig next but never had good luck with those CG jig. Thanks for responding back.

Haha, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the 0.46 OS AX really brings the plane to life, but it was designed around a 0.45 size motor back in 1983. It's amazing how much fun you can have with the right engine. The old rule of 'What can I get away with?' definitely still applies. Thanks for the nostalgic comment and for watching!

Hi, yeah an 80 is a good size for this plane have seen another with that setup which works well. This video shows a bit of the component placements ua-cam.com/video/WXXRz4RBDEE/v-deo.htmlsi=WOLNqD1_g3UTKGJA . I believe it is flown at the factory CG with minimal fine tuning. Does seem to work best with the wing fences.
