Blue Beetle film first reactions : IT'S REALLY GOOD!
I just want one set of shelving and a sign to put my video games on. I miss Blockbuster more than any store that has gone by the wayside. We traded an experience for laziness disguised as convenience. There's no passion involved with staring at a screen full of thumbnails for 30 mins only to find out the movie you want is on another service you have to pay even more money for. Everything about the Blockbuster experience was as magical as walking through Disney World. Renting a game on a summer weekend, having friends come over and pull an all-nighter to try to beat the whole game, watching the new release movies. What did we give up? A real human experience, not a video store, an experience.
Amazing! It's going to be great watching your journey. So cool to see a SACEBALLS highlight. This won't be realistic enough though unless you let fines accumulate into the thousands and then drop 50% off if they pay when you call them.
@@hmmthinking4208 🤣🤣🤣🤣oh don't you worry, the fines are coming and Biff & Rocko will be sent to collect 😂 Thank you for the support and happy you enjoyed the video 😁
Awesome review! I subscribed. Absolutely adored this movie
@@TheBunnyDojo thank you so much. Early days for the channel so that's very nice to read and kind of you. Glad you loved the film too, so sad it's not doing better at the box office as I think it deserves to be. I'll be creating a mainstay segment here at the channel that focuses on 10 Reasons Why, such as 10 Reasons Why To Watch .... 10 Reasons why ....sucks, or is great 😂 So stay tuned and make sure you tap the notification button fir when these new videos get released. I'll have ine out in next 4 days ☺️
Superman babyyyy
@@PromiseEzechukwu-sr1jp how do you think Corenswet will go as Supes?
Looks great! Want to watch it soon… also they are making a solo donkey movie it seems…
@@jakedebruin2246 it really is Jake. Make sure you see it on the biggest cinema screen you can. It's a visual treat. Solo Donkey film!! You just put a big gooey smile on my face ☺ Thank you...More videos coming soon too😁
Snow White is gonna be… Weird, Weird!
😂😂😂😂😂she's so insufferable
Looking forward to James Gunn’s Superman!
I hope it's great but I wish Brandon Routh was back as Superman. I'm not sold on Coronswet as Supes, but we'll see.
@@MoviesAtTheBar Brandon Routh would’ve been awesome! Superman Returns is extremely underrated!
@@anythingandeverythingwithjp totally agree, I love Superman Returns, though Kate Bosworth was horribly miscast as Lois Lane.
Thanks for your great comment and support. Just a few things! 'Anticipation' shouldn't be taken as excitement. Especially as a reviewer/crituc, which you noted is a hard job at times, one Im.not even paid for!! 😂 1. After Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1, I couldn't dare put Part???? in my top two, as Part one was average, tanked and now isnt even getting the title of Part 2 lol😂 It's in my 10 to see how it escapes from.the flop that Part 1 was. 2. Snow White is in there just due to the "woke" contriversey, to see if it's a big woke mess. 3. Avatar because lets see if 16 years after the original, will an audience show up and how will the visuals improve! My indepth full Top 10 video coming early next week will detail all these picks. Nosferatu was to be an "honourable mention" in my full video. I need to learn more about it first. I love your honesty and thoughts. Thank you.
Interesting list. I wouldn't touch Avatar with a forty foot pole. And Snow White makes me $hit my pants. Sometimes being a film critic must be a difficult and dedicated job... As for the rest, those are the interesting films announced, although I would put Mission Impossible and Brad Pitt's in first and second place. And I would add Nosferatu to the list.
I’m gonna take the money I wasn’t going to spend on going to see it, And buy a bacon and egg muffin instead.
You won't be able to buy a McMuffin wrapper for a buck 😂
I love all 5 of these movies!!!
Glad you’re back! It’s been a while! PS over the past year I understand now why Dalton is the #1 James Bond!
Thanks Jeremy, good to be back too. I'm.l uploading very regularly here now, lots of film reviews. How's things going? Check my Blockbuster video store video out😊
@@MoviesAtTheBar cool sure will!
Oh, you've retired LANDO!!! I'll let Spike Lee know... Just kidding, I really liked it.
Thank you Nic. Yes Lando is resting up getting his funk on with a feminist droid!! 😂 This version has also been changed since posting it. The 5 - 1 countdown is gone and the font is now coloured blue. Glad you like it 😁
Almost wish I had young kids again :)
@@thatguy178 take them anyway. It's a film for all ages. You'll love it. My old mum.is watching it in Gold Class as I type this ☺️
Great review Kajeevie
😊
Hi
Hi Patrick 😅
LEAVE A COMMENtT GUYS
Thank you so.much for watching. Hope you support the film by going to see it.
Blockbuster Video? WOW, what a diffe-rence! (Hehe, I’m typing this when the commercial suddenly plays.)
i thought you were minty sorry
😂😂😂😂😂 I pronounce words correctly unlike Minty, God bless him and unlike Minty, I review current films, have made films and pick.out the correct Blockbuster yellow colour to paint my Blockbuster 😂 Welcome to my channel, stick with me, things will get good 😊
I dont know why im watching this, but it pleases me enough..
Haha because you love my bald head as much as Blockbuster 😂and we're both glad you did 😊 Thank you.
thanks for the review mate - good to see Christian films in the cinemas, especially good ones
I do the miss video stores. Subscribed 👍
Thank you Dirk. I'm feeling you, it sucks not having video stores and if we don't quit Netflix and start buying physical home media, we're going to.lose that too as Disney have already stopped selling blurays into Australasia 😢 Please let me know any ideas you'd like to see for the channel, for me to do videos on etc. Thanks for subbing. PS What do you think of my Blockbuster so far?
Thanks to Blockbuster I watched several movies that to this date I have never watched on tv again, those movies that were never shown in the theaters at least not in Mexico. I miss the feeling of going to the store and read the synopsis, who the actors were, talking to the store clerk and getting recommendations. Those were the days, I am feeling nostalgic. I dont have Netflix or another streaming service. Enjoy the store Stephen, you have done a great job.
Thank you so much Elvi. I hope the continuing videos I make on my Blockbuster brings back those nostalgic feelings and memories for you. How good were those exciting nights hunting for great films and hidden treasures. That feeling of community was so great 😊
Now that huge awesome comment gets a "Wow, what a difference" 😂 "The fat guy after porn"!! 😂😂😂
In the distant eighties, before the Internet killed the video star, video stores (video clubs here) were places where you could disappear for whole afternoons. That's why I share your enthusiasm and your feelings. I congratulate you on your video palace. Thank you for inviting us to visit it. Video stores were full of interesting people you could talk to (except for the fat guy who rented porn and the teenagers who rented SEGA cartridges, all of them infiltrators). These characters, along with the catalogs with the latest releases, thick as phone books, the kids who ran through the carpeted hallways, the know-it-all who recommended movies and spoiled the endings, or that other guy who rented movies and didn't return them for months (I remember a guy who held Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park hostage for six months), or the grandfather who brought westerns with Colonel Tim McCoy, all of these are the inhabitants of a universe that no longer exists. I don't share the enthusiasm for the name BLOCKBUSTER, because for those of us working in smaller video, that was the name of the enemy; the equivalent of the big corporate sharks. But today, since there are no longer any big fish or small fish, I understand and share the nostalgia.
Always had to watch out for the fatty and the porn but not at Blockbuster thank goodness 😂 You're very welcome Nic, glad my video gave you the nostalgia feels. It must have been great working in the video store you worked at. Thank you for watching and the great comment.
I want to be the first to congratulate you on a job well done!
Thank you so much Matt for the kind words. I'm sure you saw some 007 goodies of mine hidden away in this video 😊 Really appreciate your kindness.
I'm glad to hear the movie is good. I was looking up to it because Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy are actors I love and they were two of the four leads in my favorite TV show of all time, which sadly hasn't been seen as much as it should, Halt and Catch Fire. (And seeing them play a married couple will be funny, since their characters on the show had an almost brother-sister relationship, with no romantic or sexual tension at all.) And of course, James McAvoy is a great actor and has been amazing in everything I've seen him in.
Great comment, thank you. I.wasnt aware of that TV show. Also, I was shocked to.lern Mackenzie is the actress who played that female Terminator in Terminator Dark Fate. I didn't recognise her when watching Speak No Evil. Hope you stick around, some great videos coming. 😊
Hey mate great vid. Check out McEvoy in Glass (one of the last movies you will see the great Bruce Willis star in) Mc Evoy plays a very evil twisted a character in this movie.McEvoy also appeared in IT chapter 2. Both great movies. At least that is what I think anyway. :-)
Thank you for the comment. Unbreakable is on my list to go back to, to link into Split and Glass, as I believe Willis appears in both as his character from Unbreakable and McAvoy plays the dude with split personality in both. Will definitely get around to them both and did mention them both in my review here. I haven't seen the new It, so I haven't seen It 2 either. So definitely some catching up to do. Hope you go and see Speak No Evil. Thanks 😊
You sure know how to tempt people with movies.
Thank you, hopefully only the good ones 😊
Always entertaining
Great review and I mostly agree with a lot of what you said ;)
Hey, thanks!
I loved the new Kajeevie's Lair! I've been a little annoyed with Tim Burton for years. Because he's fallen into the strongest temptation of all star directors and, for a while now, he's started imitating himself. I guess it's okay for those who go to see a Tim Burton movie, to see what Johnny Depp dresses up as. But the intensity of the first movies wasn't there anymore. I'm going to trust you, and I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to try to see the original movie the same day I go to see the sequel, to see if I can capture the experience you've talked about. Your enthusiasm is contagious! Beetlejuice! Beetlejiuce! Candym... Beetlejuice!
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO THE CHANNEL and my full review drops in the next hour or two...Busy editing it now and I'm giving you guys a sneak peak of my new Blockbuster video store being built in my garage 😊
Did you pay kids fare or Adults 😂
I love your reviews and I 'm so glad you created more since I last dropped in. On the whole, I disagree with you on your assessment of this film. Having said that, you've highlighted some positives I overlooked, so it brings my score from a 2/10 to a 3.5/10. On paper, this film ticks many boxes; the score is clever. Some performances were exceptional. As such, Jesse completely stole the show, and yes it was worth watching just for that scene, which doesn't say much for the film tbh. Or is Jesse just 'that good' he can make the rest of any film seem bland? Maybe. The cinematography was solid. I loved the shot of the dead bodies too, and that entire sequence. The only scene that raised my level of anxiety, unfortunately. On paper, it could limp in at a 7. Unfortunately, it failed in the one category that matters most; story. I was so excited about this film after only knowing the title. What an absolute let down. They missed a golden opportunity because they were too scared to address the issues that people,,, ready for it,,, care about. The most important objective of any story is to make people care. It is impossible to make a political movie apolitical without completely butchering it. People are buying tickets because they love politics. Make it political!!! Does making it relevant to real world issues mean they needed to take sides? No at all! Show both sides equally, and all the other sides, and let the morale of the story be - this political division that drives us to do inhumane things is killing us, and it's not worth it, and we need to protect our unity above all else. To a degree I cared about the characters, and I understand the message, and the character arcs were ok, but I really wanted to get the whole story. The big question they didn't answer is; what kind of situation would cause a civil war? And with that; are we close to a civil war right now? Questions screaming in the minds of people all over the US,,, but we don't want to make this political, for political reasons LMAO. The pure irony. The insurrection was so poorly done. The scene outside the grounds just seemed too clean, and safe. I can't put my finger on it but for a climax... it felt like they ran out of money at that point. And I agree, the reporters would not get that close, so that was unrealistic and distracting. If anyone wants to see a real film exploring the question of morality reporter's face, see Nightcrawler. Again, great review and thank you Stephen.
A good review. Will definitely go and see it. Like the way you explain about the lighting and the subplots. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review skills. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sorry about the fuzziness guys, comes in and out. Developed in the uploading phase due to uploading speed I think. Won't let it ever happen again. Hope you all enjoy the VERY CUTE surprise at the very last moment of the video 😁
I'm going to listen to you and ask someone to invite me to see Garfield. What attracts me the most is "no woke, no profanity." I agree with what you say about the problems of keeping everyone happy with these productions. And, about those critics, and without leaving the topic of cats, have I ever told you about "Flora the Cat"? There is some profanity in the explanation, so we will leave it for another time. In any case, there will always be someone who looks for the cat's fifth leg. I had always thought they would make a Garfield movie with Christopher Hewett, the guy who played Mr. Belvedere (he wouldn't have needed a costume). That Scrappy doggy [a happy reference] is huge now!
Invite yourself 😂 Hooe you enjoy it and lovely to hear from you. Checkntour email too!! If you think little Beau-ski aka Scrappy (should I change it to Scrappy?) is big now, you should see Big Bear now!! He's a monster 😂 And yes, glad you got the "Scrappy" reference, a fitting tribute to a very special little fella I miss beyond belief and think of everyday, often with tears 😭 RIP Scoobie G 2012 - 2024 ❤🐶 Hope you're better buddy x
Gonna watch it now
Lethal Weapon 2 is a rare sequel that arguably exceeds the original. It ranks with Bride of Frankenstein, Godfather 2, Aliens and Road Warrior.
I couldn't agree more though I'm yet to.see Bride Of Frankenstein but I need I build my home video store I'll be going after such horror classics. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Please tap the bell notification for upcoming videos. Rambo rankings are next but after that what series would you like me to rank? Cheers Stephen
Very good and accurate review
Thank you kindly sir
Great review. For myself, however, I'd just switch LW 1 and 2, 1 being at the top.
Thank you. It's a rough call, as mentioned LW1 has always been number 1, and I recognise it as the best, but LW2 has top spot for favourite as it's such a crowd pleaser. What series would you like me to rank after Rambo series? Thank you for commenting and please share around with your film friends.
You did a good job putting this together.
Thank you so much. I'm glad I could clean up the formatting quickly after the Die Hard one was a bit messy. Please let me know which film franchise you'd like me to rank next?
1. Lethal Weapon 2. Leathal Weapon 2
And? You've got two more!!
So my Lethal Weapon ranking is: 1. Lethal Weapon 2. Lethal Weapon 2 3. Lethal Weapon 4 4. Lethal Weapon 3
A fantastic analysis of why the Lethal Weapons are good. A surprise ranking video. Very slick..and funny. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you so much 😊
Great review, very professional
Much appreciated, glad you got something out of it.
