Hope Valley Diverts (3rd May 2024)
With the Hope Valley line partially closed for improvement work, the Sheffield to Manchester Hope Valley stopping services were diverted via Hazel Grove and Stockport providing an additional hourly service in each direction.

A trip to Doncaster on the 18th November to catch two steam operated railtours, and two LMS Class 5 locomotives, no. 44871 and 45231 'Sherwood Forester.' An hour spent at Mexborough station, situated in South Yorkshire on the Sheffield to Doncaster line. @@RyansRail Possibly. I never really went to Worksop that much after around 2011 as the freight traffic was heavily reduced. Only recently moved to the area hence why I will be visiting more often.
@@JessTrains nice, I usually go to Doncaster, Swinton and Sheffield as you get some good freight stuff around there
