BIONIC PONY!! Springs for legs. Heart of a giant. Completely and utterly BESPOKE for eventing. Something non-riders should know: Ponies are harder to ride due to their lower center of mass. And there’s less to wrap your legs around. Yet they stay sounder longer, and have better recovery times than larger horses. Dunno his actual height, but he’s a little guy with the jump and gallop and heart of a giant.

I was at Head of the Lake that year when Teddy went through and the roar of the crowd was insane. He was an incredible pony!

I have a fantastic 14.2hh pony in to sale but I am consideing keeping him myself to compete as he is so talented he puts my 16.2hh horses to shame! But BE won't let me compete as an adult on a 14.2hh pony. I don't understand how Theodore O'conner did? can anyone tell me how?

It was such an honor watching this super pony run this course. I still think about it and get chills. Teddy was a gift, and Karen an amazing rider!

did they mic the horse... you can hear it breath and its feet pound.... makes my heart race... these horses/riders have such balls... ~did they mic the jumps? ~"He is absolutly flying" UH YA HES FLYING! HES AN ARAB! GO ARABIANS!!!!!!!!!

Corr, i was welling up abit watching that little man. Everyone absolutely loved him and i don't think i ever heard crowds cheering on a horse as much as they did for him... and rightly so. A wee man, with the biggest heart. Amazing. RIP Teddy.

RIP Teddy! He had to be put down after a freak non-riding-related accident in which he severed several of his leg muscles, tendons, nerves, etc. I believe he spooked and bolted, then slipped and fell into the side of a barn or something. The sharp edge of the metal siding cut his leg. :(
