Probably what ever weapon I start with is the weapon I must use only so playing as brawler is difficult when doing that

Choose a build and focus mostly on that. The only thing that i would recommend on any build though is the gyms. Those actually help every build. It also helps to get cats to increase your rarity on rolls.
