Baking cakes and cupcakes! And sometimes other yummy foods
Carrot cake How To
For the cake:
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup canola or veg. oil
4 large eggs rom temp.
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups grated carrots
(walnuts to taste if you desire)
Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
(I doubled this recipe for my cake)
1 (8oz) brick cream cheese, room temp
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Ricki Lynn light corn syrup and chocolate sauce with red food coloring
