It's a shame that the Stratotrack can't be readily user-configured. It would be useful for model rocketry if the transmit interval could be shortened to something like fifteen seconds, even if being reliant on a local radio to receive telemetry rather than being reliant on an Igate.

Thanks for the up close on shear pins. Wish I had seen this over a year ago when I was trying to figure out rivets. I set up my LOC-IV and Balsa Machining rocket so I can remove the coupler and put in an ebay later. I'm building the Loc-IV ebay and eggtimer electronics now.
I like the consistency of Shear Pins vs Friction Fitting.

How do you know if the acceleration is too much for a cardboard rocket? Built with epoxy, plywood rings and fins, 4" tube.
