Thanks, Colin. I remember this painting, like it very much. Unfortunately, I exaggerated with the dark side of the lavender rows.

Your studio is perfect, next to nature with the option to be outside. The windows probably give great lighting. Is your color wheel commercially made or one you made? The colors on it look more "natural". Your idea about how to use the wheel is smart. It's the first time I've heard of using one that way.

This is beautiful, so different from your usual landscape but I'd love to see more garden scenes! And certainly there in England you have lots of gardens to paint :)

Watercolor pencils are so portable! I use them on airplanes, because you don't need much room or much water. Thank you for sharing a great sketching tip!

I wholeheartedly appreciate that you are taking the time to explain and describe precisely what you’re doing from the beginning of the sketch to the end! 🙌👏💛 When you sketched this the first time on location, did you approach the sketch in the same manner, sketching the sign first and then the figures?
