I tried that yesterday prior to watching this, it was a nightmare to open and I had to bend the cover a lot, ended up soldering the loose connections and now it can start the car but the buttons don't work anymore, I guess I probably cut some connection when opening the key, and unfortunately I don't have a multimeter to test right now. Thank you for your video though!

Hatte das gleiche Problem mit genau der gleichen Lötstelle und habe es so repariert bekommen. Vermutlich hätte ich mich ohne das Video nicht getraut, derart martialisch an dem Schlüssel rumzusägen. Gut fühlte sich das auch nicht an. Ich bin definitiv kein Fan von Gegenständen, die nicht für einfache Reparatur ausgelegt sind.

what options for fuel are there? what's safest and what works best? thank you for the video it was great! i made one almost exactly the same following your instructions, just need to figure out what fuel to use!
did you figure it out? I'd probably go for Coleman Fuel
@@rondaniels4803 i did thank you! I went with 99% isopropyl. Easy to light, Smokeless and easy to extinguish. Been working a charm for me :)
@@lazerus_Sacrifice An issue I've been having with Coleman fuel is that it evaporates too quickly, or becomes too absorbed in the napkin. Suppose I were to add the fuel at 13:00; I would have to ignite it before 13:10. When you use isopropyl, how much in advance do you put the fuel in?

das ist aber nicht das selbe aus dem prank oder ? 1. wie lange kann man das buch liegen lassen bevor das methanol verdampft ? 2. wie lange brennt das buch ? im prank läuft der ja teilweise 5 minuten damit rum ohne das der brennstoff aus geht !

Diethyl ether works, I usually mix it with pentane (lighter fuel) and methanol. They do not all mix, so put'em into bottle and shake prior to use. You may add a pinch of salt to increase visability of the flame. Don't apply too much or it won't work, I use 2-3 milliliters. Just try what works best for your book! :-)
