    • @TeacherKellyTag

      Yes, so true. I wish schools still taught it. My children’s school touched on cursive but they never had to learn it in depth.

    I don't think we should give kids all these computers and screens. We should ban phones from the schools too. Go back to computer lab classes. Because focus is an issue. Eye sight is an issue. The ability for kids and people to interact with others and the world around them is a big issue too.

    • @TeacherKellyTag
      @TeacherKellyTag 5 днів тому

      Yes, I totally agree. Actually, after I made this video my Governor made an executive order to ban cell phones during the school day. They get them taken away and a parent has to come to the school to get the phone.

    • @justonebite
      @justonebite 5 днів тому

      @TeacherKellyTag it shouldn't just be one area though. All schools should do this. Elementary kids (even before they start school) have phones. Like why? Why do they need that? And now so many of them think that youtube or tiktok is their main goal for a job. Ugh, like wth. No wonder the work force is lacking and kids are not understanding how to interact and deal with the world around them. This generation going through school wont understand how the workforce is dwindling for jobs that people need but dont want to do. Smh

    • @TeacherKellyTag
      @TeacherKellyTag 5 днів тому

      @@justonebite I should add that this ban was for ALL grades, not just HS. I totally agree. We need to get it out of the classroom. Kids just don’t have the social skills these days.

    Ngl I love learning about war just to imagine what it was like and I feel amazed by what others did to shape our current living. Teach us the gore, the dirty. Let us know the real world like it was lived. Schools sweet talk it which is why kids don't care about veterans and are openly racist not knowing what people did to get to the place they are. Veterans fought for our country and African Americans basically created a bunch of the technology we use today, but people only credit the white people who took ownership of what wasn't theirs, or credited the white people that helped build it and disregard the main creator. As a high schooler, I've seen this horrible behavior from kids myself. If there is something you are skipping over. That's blocking kids from full knowledge. Just teach us it. You can give us warnings and not have tests on it, but just tell us the story. Kids need to know the full real world. Not a cushioned one.

I hear little kids telling parents shut up or saying that's a lie. Respect should be taught at home, if not, real life and the streets will. Suburbs or rural, its parent's fault.
