We visited some of the best places I have ever seen, Blue Rocks, NS, Lunenburg, NS, The Blue Nose II Ship, and Oak Island. Oak Island was closed due to filming next years episodes. Our Last day in Quebec was a visit to the Citadel of Quebec. A Military Fortress located in Old Quebec City. The French and the British once occupied the Citadel. Now The Citadel of Old Quebec is Canadian and is a World Heritage site. Then we made the trek to Nova Scotia. Driving is never boring in Canada. There is always something amazing to be found. * * * * * Free You Tube Audio Library July...

This place is NUTS!!! We rode in a Model T, a Steam Locomotive, and a Carousel. Fantastic. Hall was definitely a genius!
The picture at the end made me cry. I love this so much!
DOES IT GO IN REVERSE????
Looks beautiful!!
Very cool! Love the Wendell Scott Ford in particular...
Me too!
Thanks for the video. Heading to Midland later this month for work & will be sure to make time to visit!
Winner Winner Chicken DINNER not DINER. lol
The Chaparral cars were some of the finest independent, non factory cars built for racing.
That is my husband's favorite race car, we go year after year and this year it was a beautiful experience to have shared with Jim Hall.❤❤
I watched the 2F win at Brands Hatch in '67 with Hill and Spence at the wheel in intermittent rain. That wing was so impressive.
HI! This is the craziest thing but I was watching this and I think I am the red haired woman at 13:30 looking out over the water! My family is from DC and I am up there quite a bit. Do you happen to know the exact date this was filmed? I see the date it was posted but you probably filmed it earlier… I would love to know….I’m dying of curiosity.
It was fun and the weather was great!
Genial 👌 gracias un gran reportaje yo tengo en slot algunos de los que salen
as a young'n in the 60s Mr. Hall and his fantastic race car were my favorites, saw many race @ Vegas, SIR, Laguna, even his Trans Am Camaros were cooler then the rest (yep, had slot cars, posters) today I have diecast of most of them------------a great time in racing, innovation at it's finest-----------thanks for the video
sorry, feel I must reply everytime I watch this
No problem. I understand.
Checked it out in 2014 and the 2E was set up for visitors to sit in. I have a photo of me in it!
💪 'PromoSM'
My favourite race car as well and Jim Hall too! What an innovator! First with wings, first with vacuum creating suction to the race course, first with standard transmission which flipped to an automatic transmission going down in gears or was it visa versa? He was also one of a very few that used wind tunnels for aerodynamic design of race cars. Plus he was a very good race driver! What a package. We always looked forward every year to his new inventions and were never let down! Saw him every year at Mosport.
Is the bottom section heavy to lift once the rest is taken apart? I'm looking at a used one like this that's for sale online, but I have a bad back and can't lift much weight.
The Unser Museum in Albuquerque is now closed permanently. Bobby and Al are now deceased, and Al Jr. doesn't seem have interest in keeping it open! The remaining family has some of the memorabilia. The balance of the racecars are going to a motorsports museum in Lincoln, Nebraska. There was a second building behind the ABQ museum with more restored collector cars, trophies etc. I do not know what will become of those items.
We just went through the Museum of American Speed. They are adding a new building / addition to house the Unser collection. At first i was mad when i heard the news of the closing in Albuquerque, now i am grateful Lincoln will take good care of the collection. Sometime next year the Unser collection will be ready for viewing.
My first love
So very little on my favorite: 2D.
A lot to take in at the Museum. I recommend a visit when in Midland TX.
I always thought they were the Best looking cars
I think AJ Foyt drove the Chapparal for awhile.
Not sure.
No
Jim Hall had a partner named Jim Sharp. I know his son.
His name was Hap Sharp, tho' I can't recall what "Hap" was short for. Nice man.
Wow, so many Mach5's
🔝🔝🔝🔝
Less music and more talk would be nice. I’m old enough to remember these car but still need to hear about them.
The cars speak for themselves. Nothing I can say can make them more iconic than they are. I do thank you for watching.
I love the music!! Who is it?
Thanks for a seriously excellent video with superb musical accompaniment. Jim Hall's Chevy Chaparrals were always the most beautiful race cars in every race they entered; they won quite few of these races as well. Really enjoyed it.
Because I am old, the sculpted look of 1960s race cars and supercars look better to me than today's chiseled hyper-aero stuff.
They still look amazing! Nice to see them so well preserved. Thank you for showing us!!
This is a great place to visit.
Endless trophies.
Nice video. Amazing exhibits. Thanks
It's cool to see real life versions of slot cars.
@8:50 the other Chaparral ''secret'' weapon.😉
I am from Hawaii and visited all of them in the San Antonio area. I found the little igloo ovens interesting as we have them in Hawaii too.
Sweet! 😎
As a Kid, Chaparral Racing was the stuff of dreams. I had all the Aurora versions of their cars.
Remember the ducted fan model? One of the best little known museums. If you didn't know what to look at you'd drive by and miss it
Saw it in action at Watkins Glen, fantastic !!
Absolutely my favorite road race cars of all time, saw all of them in person racing except the coupes/2H,
Awesome, thanks for sharing.
You bet!
Great video!
Thanks!
I had the Cox slot car model of the 2D in 1964/5. Full magnesium alloy chassis. Very expensive here in Australia, and my pride and joy. Been a Chaparral man ever since. Love em.
Very cool!
Those were the days when racing was exciting and big new things from small-time racing teams! 😎
exactly... innovation was required not banned. didn't last long sadly.
great stuff, thank you
I had the MPC model when I was a kid, brings back some memories .
7:05 The BEST Breakfast place ANYWHERE!!! The ORIGINAL SWEDISH PANCAKE HOUSE!!
😊😊
Very cool video!
Glad you liked it!
i remember when the chaparral was raced in the '60s, it was my all time favorite race car... still is. I also remember a magazine a long time ago featuring a hot rod with a built chevy six owned by Jim Hall of Texas who went by 'Mr. Chevrolet'. Same guy? ...Frank
