The standard that these machines have been restored to is breathtaking
This the typa video that gonna suddenly get a billion views in 20 years.
I want one 😎
That Lister Junior looks superb!
@@benjifrater6077 cheers mate, it is a great engine.
Is it a flame eater atmospheric engine?
@@biitimate3697 no mate, it’s kerosene. The flame is there to heat up the bulb otherwise it’ll be harder for the kerosene to combust so it is there to warm it all up, like a hot bulb in a diesel engine
How much fuel did you put in it? It’s too high.
I may have miss read the packaging as it was the first time using fuel gel and put about 40 mil instead of 20 mil of gel
Nice piece of kit. Good find. I have a steam saw I used to take to the annual rally :D
Should be a bit longer
@@TrainsovertheLittleParaRiver I know, was meant to be a short but wouldn’t work sorry
@@anythingvintage2952 I prefer videos. I just watched it a couple of times
@@TrainsovertheLittleParaRiver fair enough. Once I get enough of these videos of single/twin cylinder tractors, I’m planning on making a compilation of them
Beautiful piece of machinery! Glad you managed to get one.
Great Video😊
@@anthonygiglio9860 cheers mate 👍
Cool
Which Lynton?
Lynton miniature railway
@@anythingvintage2952 still doesn't help Only one I can find on Google is in the UK
I have a Villiers kick-start engine that came off a household agitator washing machine. I used it for a generator to charge batteries around the early 1960's, but it had been factory fitted to the washing machine long before I obtained it. Been disused in a shed, since soon after that, but I bet I can get it going again if I wanted. Cannot remember the mark number.
I believe Villiers made kickstarts with mark 10, 12 and 15 for washing machines although they made two stroke kick starts for reel mowers and motor bikes, I have 3 mark 10 kick starts including the one on the plucker and I think all mine came off washing machines. The plucker I believe was made in 1954 but I failed to mention I think it is homemade as I’ve never seen another like it and there is no official branding or Id on the machine. They aren’t too hard to get going. I’ve rebuilt a couple, essentially the Australian/English Briggs and Stratton. They are a very basic engine, parts are easy to find and are extremely cheap.
Nice
Where is that from
Warrnambool I think
A great video😊 Thank you
Excellent video Great to see Marshall engines as i live only six miles away from the old factory Sadly now a shopping centre But still named Marshall’s yard😊😊😊😮
Hey, I'm in your video
Yeah mate, I think you made a few shots if you look closer. Cheers
😃😃😃😃😃😃👍

Fantastic video😊😊 Love the night scenes Thank you
Not backfiring dumba"". It's firing as a "hit and miss.
Pisser
Good one!
E uma relíquia 😃😃😃😃😃👍
Hay could I see the mechanism
From where we can get this machine. Please
Can we perchaged this
I didn’t know they had a W! Nice catch!
How often do they run an open day?
once a year i think.
too true mate, thanks for watching
Yeah you're welcome. I think the Streamliners 2022 event was to get funds for the CL17.
CL17 starts up at Streamliners 2022 even though she's nowhere near completion. CL17 looks quite naked wearing unpainted steel.
yeah. still a long way out, since streamliners 2022, it has been moved to seymour heritage railway centre where work has been commenced on it.
@@anythingvintage2952 I've heard there's an event that's gonna happen in October Long Weekend 2024. Will CL17 be completed in time for the event?
i don’t think so due to how much work is due left on it however it could be. that’s a question better left for a seymour heritage rail centre member
@@anythingvintage2952 we'll just have to wait and see.
Muito top😃😃😃😃😃👍
Parabéns pelo vídeo
Very good video. I enjoyed watching it Thank you very much.
and i was on the job when they started to arrive and replaced the mongrel W class of which i got put through the windscreen and knocked out on the bonnet when the shunters dropped some 5 gy of super on to us on a falling grade
fair enough. the W’s are terrible but may i ask. how did you get sent out the windscreen and the bonnet?
😃😃😃😃👍
Beautiful railroad and locomotive! Is this an Australian Willis Mogul?
cheers mate, it is a scratch built locomotive but it does resemble the australian willis mogul
Cool!
Was Katie tired that day?
yeah, little. the front pony dropped a little causing it to hit on points so when we fixed it we ran the light engine to make sure it wouldn’t hit anymore. steam locomotives never get tired, they just loose puff! thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice railway 😊
Parabéns muito top
cheers mate
Nice Flame Licker😊
cheers mate👍
nice shot of me dragging the push pole behind my roller on Saturday arvo!!!
Nice video. A great couple of days for all in attendance. I certainly had a good time.
Cheers mate, always a great weekend up at goldsmith. I had a great time too, hope I will get a display up for the next one too.
That tractor is in geelong, was just talking to the people who own it yesterday. Been trying to find a video of it. Thanks for the upload.
No problems, neat tractor. Sound good
FWIW: I lived in Dade County, Florida, USA from 1988 tp 1995. {Miami is located in Dade County.} At some point during that time, I went to an engine exhibit in Homestead, Florida {located in southern Dade County}. There were no steam engines that I recall, but there were quite a few reciprocating internal combustion engines on display. There was at least one _'Hit & Miss'_ engine on display and operating. I had NEVER seen - or even heard of -- such an engine before.
fair enough mate, hit and miss engines are fairly popular down here in australia. they are very interesting and mesmerising to watch.
Great video. Subbed...👍
cheers mate, thanks for watching and support
@@anythingvintage2952 >>> You're Welcome.

sadly some leak issues, however i would say great job, something only needs to be practical when it's actually powering something.
cheers, been meaning to sort out for a while now, next project. i’m planning on repainting and putting decals on to make it look original again
