Agenda 14 was launched in 2011 to promote the work of young filmmakers in the country.
At Agenda 14, we believe that traditional audio-visual formats as well as new media can be used to
promote the idea of freedom of expression. We create alternative platforms for audiovisual
expressions of the youth in Sri Lanka, where there are only limited opportunities for training and we
are committed to training the youth and have especially designed trainings programmes for women and children too. Most of the short films you will watch on this channel have been produced after Agenda 14's pitching sessions and training programmes.

Synopsis: A well-known cricketer ‘s sexual orientation becomes a hot topic in social media and he tries to isolate from his team mates, friends and family. He becomes suspicious of his partner and a popular singer who lives next-door tries to reconcile them. Finally the cricketer’s mother arrives at his home and meets his partner for the first time.
To celebrate Pride Month we will present
an LGBTQI+ UA-cam Film Festival from 27-30 June 2024.
From the film series 'Somewhere in Sri Lanka...' presented by
the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, we will release a film everyday at 6.00p.m. on the Agenda 14 UA-cam channel.

'Independence Lane' on 28 June,
'The Outcast' on 29 June and
'Forward Drive' on 30 June.
It's only a short run of thee film during the festival.
