Honestly, the heavy lifters here are the Snipers and Cyberpunks. If he can keep that stack alive, it won't really matter what other attackers he uses.

yeah, I decided I should switch from sns before going beyond 7.4 and bow seems easiest to me, so I’ve pretty much completely swapped. sns dps sadly lags behind hard even with the backhop buff and requires constant pdodges to try to keep up

@mellomallo Yea I can see that, I'm stuck on 7s diablos and with a legiana SnS and I've watched so many bow users clear it already. Unfortunately, I've put to much into SnS upgrades and I can't start down a new weapon set

@@Mar_the_Mar I’d recommend if you want to swap, swap before you get to 8.1; the mats and wyvern gem shards required at and especially beyond that point are a huge and grindy investment that you probably won’t get more quickly than the other mats you’d need to catch up with another weapon. It’s annoying and will slow progression for a while, but in the long run it’s worth and will let you clear with lower lvls than sns

I’ve not fought enough yet to figure out the topple. I just assumed it might be caused by dealing enough damage before or during the roll. My best guess on the second one is that all of that damage counted towards a topple because it was already in the “roll state” as soon as it decided it would roll next, before the roll itself, similarly to when diablos seems to get stuck in the sand by taking enough damage right before it even starts its dig.

@@mellomallo then it's really a "stagger" status that carries over. In world, I think if you hit it during the wobble, even small damage will topple. damage is pretty low before the bones are broken. if topple is essentially a stagger, hitting the leg and ignoring the topple might be safer.

@Skybrute if you find that you can't reliably get to charge lv 4 then it'll be better to increase focus. If you can get to charge 4 reliably, please go ahead and drop focus for more dmg! Just make sure to be fluid with your build!

yeah I’m seriously debating switching to bow for my ice build at least because of black diablos, but otherwise sns is still working well enough for my other builds for now. bow does seem to have higher damage potential though

swipe back letting go, then hold. after the slash you can choose whether to follow up with the rest of the combo by tapping or roll out of it. perfect backhops also give you full charge immediately

probably not. I’ve just been using rathian arms for lock on for now

@mellomallo oh okay, I'm still at 6 star but I keep timing out, I can't seem to get the block patterns down and once they move out of range it's usually over for me.
