You do need to use double pointed needles for this hat. The largest size in the pattern will fit an adult and you can try it on as you go to see if you need to do another round of increases or adjust the length. For this particular project right now, yes. You just need to add the digital pattern to your cart along with the yarn kit and when you checkout you will immediately receive it and I will mail the yarn kit for it. Or some people prefer getting the pattern on Ravelry so they have it in their library. The way my website is set up the listing has to either be digital or physical and so I’m trying different ways to see what works best. Other knit kits on my site are listed as digital and have everything combined. Just trying to see what works best. 😅

@@gabriellalaki2435 You can do it with a little practice! My advice would be to practice with heavier weight yarn because it’s easier to see your stitches and you can get into the rhythm of the body repeat. The most common mistake in this pattern is forgetting to yarn over at the beginning and end of the right side rows. Take the time to watch your stitches carefully for a while and even say the stitches out loud as you go. That’s what I have to do sometimes so that I learn the rhythm of the pattern and it will get easier to recognize when you’re about to make a mistake. I’m cheering for you! I know you can do it. 😊

Yes I’ve made several for myself and other adults. Use the largest size instructions and you can try it on as you go as well. Add rounds to make it longer or do another increase for circumference. This will change your stitch count but just divide by 4 when you split up for the earflaps. 😊

Anytime you substitute a yarn weight you will get a different result. The hat may be slightly smaller and thinner with a #5 yarn. If you’re able to try it on as you go along you can make adjustments, such as doing another few rounds or extra increasing for circumference.
