Had the privilege of seeing y'all play Atom Heart Mother & Meddle recently at Schiele during the opening time slot, y'all killed it. I was a little concerned during the first few opening bars, but y'all found that pocket and grooved through Atom Heart Mother. (The choir and orchestra did phenomenal as well!) Specifically when keys was leading, the performance of San Tropez was so good; y'all also got me to not skip Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast now. I look forward to hearing this and DSOTM; hopefully soon!

Sounds good. Been wanting to learn this one. Heard to hear the riff mixed with the keyboard. Beck was a true original.

The look of pride on Scott's face just past the 14-minute mark says it all about his amps. I have a Competition, and it's impossible not to smile when you crank it up. I gigged with a pushed 1981 2203 for a few years, thinking it was the ultimate, but the tone I wanted from that amp comes straight from Splawn's shop with zero boost and little tweaking.

The Crunge sucks and brings this album down. If the song Houses of the Holy was on it and why wasn't it?? Then a definite contender for a top two spot.

This song is composed completely of riffs. There are four distinct riffs and there is no point in the song where there is not an underlying riff. Even the lead solo is played over a riff!: There is no other song like it. You have highlighted 2 of them but maybe failed to notice the other two?

Scott Splawn does Mr Scary - got that wicked sensation. I am duly impressed by the craftsmanship and care that goes into the amps and I can hear they sound as good as an amp can sound. It’s obvious these are the crème of the crop. I’ve been also blown away by Bogner - and the uberschall twin jet is astounding with any guitar….I would like to have a Splawn as well….someday the wallet may accommodate 😅 I came here because I saw Punky Meadows using a Splawn

Allen Collins got this riff from one of his favorites Jerry Reed, his song Amos Moses. Take a listen to it, then play double trouble. You’ll hear it. Very very similar

At last - some love being given to early Pink Floyd - the days of Syd Barrett! Excellent recreation - you need to drive this stuff and there were a few moments when it sounded a little laboured but otherwise astounding! Gilmour is in the wings and in this period is playing some gigs to stand in for Syd and will replace him. A period of transition!

Best album by DMB, personally . The band died for me with LeRoi Moore. RIP. The first 5 commercial albums were absolute gold. I got a burned copy of Busted Stuff from a friend several years before it was released commercially. It was called “The Lillywhite Sessions” on Napster. Busted Stuff and Everyday were great albums, but I think “Before These Crowded Streets” was peak DMB.

Awesome performance. I'd have liked to hear something a bit closer to the original (e.g. the middle section in interstellar overdrive could be a bit more atonal and freeform), but you guys have pulled it off nevertheless.

Splawn Amps are incredible. I'm going to be ordering my 2nd Quick Rod 100 head this year. These amps are absolutely top notch in both tone and build quiality. Nothing beats them. Splawn amps do Not dissapoint.
