Story #3 - We’ll MEAT Again:
*Continuation of last years “The Butchering” story*
Oct 31st, 2023, it was done, crackaxles population has hit its lowest absolute, two. Two lone people, the psycho and murderous owners of the butcher shop. Nobody is left to tell the tale of the butchering, nobody else knows, and the horrors that once terrorized the streets of Crackaxle Canyon faded away into obscurity…
Feb 18, 2024, the land owners of the butcher shop purchase the entirety of the Crackaxle Canyon land, transforming it into their own little world, and they begin advertising their shop as “the best butcher shop you’ll ever step foot in, so good you’ll never want to leave” and because of this, people decided to come and check out the place for themselves, after all, a nice slab of meat or brisket wouldn’t hurt anyone right? Well, that’s assuming there’s animals around, thankfully their livestock couldn’t be any bigger. Since the owners of the shop own all the land, they’ve constructed new housing for people to stay in, and over time they’ve gained a reputation for having incredible meat options, things were looking up for Crackaxle, have the owners finally changed their ways?
August 5th, 2024, for the past month people have noticed a “change” in the taste of meat, and those who relied on the shop for food have “left town”, causing the population to dwindle again. The owners had to do something, and a simple solution came to mind, a solution that would make everyone want to stay no matter what, forever.
Sep 7th, 2024, the towns population is at an all time high, but nobody is ever in sight, police were sent out to figure out why and to see if there was an accurate reading of the towns population, what they found was abandoned houses and streets, and a thriving butcher shop. Upon entering, the foulest stench was everywhere, and blood stains tainted the once spotless entrance, it was a blood bath. Screams can be heard in the distance, drowned out by the roars of saw blades and drills. As they explored deeper, carved and mangled bodies hanged everywhere along side the produce & steaks, body parts were slung around, and there were abominations everywhere with chainsaws and butcher knife’s, the police tried to escape after seeing this, but to no avail, they became trapped with no exit, destined to succumb to the same horrors of the many people trapped within the walls of the butcher house, being kept alive by the owners for their own personal gain. Everyday you wake up the smell of fresh blood taints the air, the owners are running an empire of fear, and YOU are their profit. Nobody has ever made it out of the town alive, nobody knows the horrors of the shop other than those trapped inside, and nobody is coming to help. Do you dare to solve what’s really going on here and explore the halls of this slaughterhouse? Or will you stray away, knowing that everyone you know, will never MEAT you again…
