As far as I am concerned, there are only two approaches a coach can adopt when it comes to his style of play: 1. Either the players fit into the coach’s style of play, or 2. The coach tailors his style of play to fit the players at his disposal, taking into account their unique talents and abilities. Any style of play that suppresses the freedom and creativity of a team is bound to fail, no matter how strongly the coach or management believes in its effectiveness. I believe the Orlando Pirates coach uses the latter approach.
